The staff is awesome, attentive and lovely all the times! The hotel is an old house, but very beautiful, near the beach front. The room is small, but very cosy. So is the bathroom. We had a pleasant night. The hotel has a pub and à restaurant, which was great for us, as we had a long day driving with rain at time of arrival ( it was already dark). They have parking as well. We recommend the hotel.

Our overall trip was based on visiting small fishing villages in Cornwall. Our stay at Bryher Cottage in Paul was based on proximity to the small port town of Mousehole, and we enjoyed our stay there very much. We also enjoyed the rural countryside around Cornwall as well.

Paul is ideally located for most activities in SW Cornwall and if you don't like driving on the narrow roads there are reliable bus services. It's ideal for visiting Mousehole (10 minute downhill walk). Mousehole itself is inaccessible in parts and if you stayed there you would probably have difficulty parking, and it would get too crowded at peak times, so just stay up the road in Paul! It has a lovely parish church and a v traditional family run pub with excellent food. Easy access to the SW Coast path, too. If you need to surf though, you'll have to go to Sennen Cove (7 miles). Newlyn has an intimate little cinema (with bar/restaurant).

We only had a single night stay & the weather was awful but despite that we could see that Paul is a lovely, traditional, unspoilt village. Off the beaten track & centered around a pretty church & a welcoming pub where locals & visitors alike were enjoying lovely food in a convivial atmosphere.

Paul is conveniently located to visit western Cornwall, or for those needing to stay before crossing to the Isles of Scilly. Easy to visit the Minack Theatre, Lands End, Mousehole and access sandy beaches. The Kings Arms in Paul serves excellent food in a friendly atmosphere.

For me, and as a base to get out walking, Paul was just right. Paul is an atmospheric Cornish hamlet that has a popular pub and a really lovely church. Buses to and from Penzance do call at the hamlet but are quite infrequent. However, following a 15 minute lane walk quite steeply downhill to Mousehole, a frequent and speedy bus service connects to Newlyn and Penzance. A similar 10 to 15 minute, but flat, walk to a main road location bus stop provides for a more regular service (than the buses actually coming into Paul) connecting to Newlyn and Penzance. From that stop there is also the Land's End Coaster bus service that is circular around the whole Land's End peninsular providing access very many places.
