We loved this Inn. Its location is beautiful with ships, ice cream, great restaurants. The room, though not big, was very nicely decorated. It had the best bed and bed linens of our entire stay. Bathroom was great with nice hot water, shelving, great shower pressure. There was a mini fridge (only place that had one for my medicine), a desk, chair, closet, 2 night tables, nice size tv. The food in the restaurant for dinner and breakfast was great. Staff friendly and welcoming and helped with luggage upstairs as there is no lift.

Excellent choice of food establishments from pasty shops, Fish & Chips, to 2 good pubs and several high end restaurants & bistros. Recommend the 5 mile walk from Porth Leven to Helston via Loe-Bar and Penrose Estate with bus or car ride back.

Porthleven is a lovely little town with a welcoming feel.

Porthleven is a lovely little town with a welcoming feel. Lots of shops and good eateries. The local people are friendly and helpful. The beach is not very accessible, especially to the elderly or unfit. Not so much sand as grit on the bits you can access. Lots of places to visit if you have a car and plenty of walking to enjoy. The roads are very steep down to the coast and town.

Porthleven is just right for a family hoilday there’s plenty of cafes restaurants and two pubs we’ve enjoyed food in all of them lovely shops jewellery shop for the ladies beach with rock pools which my children loved but there grown up now but love comeing back I love the square my son loves the ship inn

We went over Christmas so different time for us.

We went over Christmas so different time for us. Mostly it is a foodie haven,Kota kai our favourite. Lovely beach and walks. Handy local food shop and good gift shops. Nauti was open, fab coffee and cakes too cold for ice creams. Been to Porthkeven lots of times and still has a place in.my heart. Friendly community.

Porthleven is still part off true ‘old Cornwall’ fabulous location to explore the nearby coast path walks ,beaches and the town has lovely restaurants and independent shops..loved it,will be booking another trip there soon!

Porthleven is a lovely village with a harbour, cafes, beach...

Porthleven is a lovely village with a harbour, cafes, beach and many independent shops to browse around. A good base from which to explore West Cornwall and the Lizard Peninsula. The town of Helston is only a 10 minute drive away should you want a big supermarket and more shops.

The room was small but the comfyness of the bed ( & quality bedding, plus the huge size of the bed) more than made up for it 🥰breakfast choice was exceptional ( i opted for eggs royale, but 2 was 2 much for me, so asked for half, plus hash brown, … if they have it, they will do it 🥰)…. Hotel was on the sunny side of the harbour, so got the last of the sun, in the heart of Porthleven…. They even provide you with thermal waterproof coats for bad weather 🥰

Parking for two cars Ample space for 10 to be out of each other's way. Absolutely stunning panoramic view from Penzance to the Lizard peninsula. Very comfortable beds and living space. A well equipped kitchen. A lovely, well maintained, and secure garden. Perfect for your K9 companions. 15-minute walk into Porthleven and the beach.
