Wonderful little place. The staff was so nice to our kids, they even have a corner with kids toys to play with. There is a nice little pub attached to the hotel and a restaurant that has really good food. We had the suite and it was quiet and comfortable. The breakfast was quite good with many choicea to order. The 6 minute walk down to he harbor was just amazing.

Lovely quiet village, but powering up for the weekend's annual Boat Festival, with lots of entertainment in the offing. My Wednesday afternoon stroll was coloured by early closing, but familiarity with the area allowed for R&R and pleasant sightseeing. Excellent food outlets and restaurants offering a wide range.

Portsoy is a great location to explore the Moray coast.

Portsoy is a great location to explore the Moray coast. If you are lucky dolphins can be seen at Spey Bay or Chanonry Point and seals at Portgordon. Portsoy ice-cream is a must as are cullen skink soup and hot smoked salmon from the fish mongers at the harbour. There is a great Portsoy marble shop, a Men's Shed craft shop and the lovely little Portsoy Gift Box shop in the town. There are lots of lovely walks such as the coastal route or the shorter one around the Loch.

Loads of great walks the views along the coast were spectacular to say the least. Well worth a visit, lots of fishing villages within a 20 mile radius all were fantastic and interesting history. If you are a golfer loads of golf courses to visit.. l ate in the hotel good food, there is only one other restaurant in Portsoy unfortunately it was closed on Monday and Tuesday so cannot comment. , but a Chinese takeaway and a fish and chip shop. The old harbour is fantastic and there is a pub overlooking the harbour.

A delightful small town on the Moray Firth coast with historic harbour and famous as a film set for Peaky Blinders and Whisky Galore. Easy to walk around the narrow roads to explore the town. Wonderful cliff walks from the town and a very tranquil and beautiful park in the centre. All the basics can be bought in the coop, bakers, and fabulous ice-cream shop. Chinese and fish and chip takeaways, lovely cafes and station hotel serve good food and the charming Port Cafe is a real treat. It's only a short drive to several other charming fishing villages nearby along the coast.

We had a fabulous time at number 42. The cottage is so beautifully decorated, so cosy & comfortable and is really well equipped (I would say the best equipped cottage we've ever been to). The views from the cottage are just breathtaking, and there was plenty of space for a family of 5. We loved everything about it. Portsoy is a beautiful place.. We did a few trips to places nearby suggested by the owners, and we had a fabulous time.We are really hoping we'll come back again.
