Every detail was amazing. Beautifully renovated to feel comfortable and cool. The sleep was spectacular with very nice bedding, after a nice whiskey at their cool bar. And the service was extremely nice, making you feel at home. Highly recommended.

We were visiting for the Speyside whisky festival and this was the perfect base for us. Communication with the host was fast and friendly, we had an easy time getting into the propoerty, and the house itself was very clean with all the amenities we needed.

What a surprising treat! This unassuming little hotel had touches that took it a step above the rest. Each room, we booked five, had a record player in it. There was a treat in each room as well, Walker biscuits, of course. The bathroom was large and well equipped with a very nice shower. We ate both dinner and breakfast in the hotel. Everyone enjoyed their dinner, and the service at the hotel breakfast was amazing. The kids ordered the pancakes and bacon, and I wish I had as well! Delicious! The buffet featured, fresh berries, such a rarity in most hotels. There is ample parking in the area. I would definitely recommend this hotel and return. Don’t miss out on walking the Speyside river walk across the way and visiting they original Walker shortbread shop, a few doors down

Rothes is centrally located for visits to any number of whiskey distilleries, or if you arrange to do some fishing on the Spey River. It is not a destination unto itself, as there is almost nothing in Rothes to see or do, but it's a lovely little village in the heart of Speyside. A warning that there are almost no food options in Rothes. The Station Hotel has a wonderful restaurant and bar, but that is your only option, so expect to drive to a neighboring village if you want any variety.

The town itself is not particularly pretty, but the surroundings are lovely, and the volunteer run visitor centre, 'The Cottage' is great! The local school children had produced a great leaflet with local walks around the town - fun to explore, even though we couldn't find the 'wishing stones'!

We had a lovely stay at Mary’s apartment, after a 13 hour drive all we wanted to do was chill out as we only had 2 days to view a house, the thoughtful little touches all over the apartment made us feel very welcome and was very much appreciated. The host Caroline is very knowledgeable of the area and very helpful, we would highly recommend a visit.

Rothes is a very quiet town.

Rothes is a very quiet town. There are no other restaurants in town. However the hotel restaurant is excellent. There is nothing to do in the town itself, but it is located in the heart of the scotch trail with many distilleries. Too many to visit in fact.
