The location is in one of Kent’s prettiest spots, the Pantiles which is full of history, royal connections and mineral waters. The decor was very stylish, genteel even and welcoming. Lovely colours on the walls, paintings that matched the decor, a very cosy lounge downstairs with a fireplace. This was my second stay and again the staff were all amazingly helpful and friendly. They willingly stored our luggage including a wedding dress before we checked in and even after we checked out. I worked downstairs in the morning and felt relaxed and welcomed. I loved the music which added to the genteel Pantiles vibe. We had a light lunch which was delicious. I recommend the restaurant. I want to make this our family hotel for UK visits.

I loved so many things. The staff was amazing, extremely helpful & courteous. The breakfast was reasonably priced yummy and wonderful variety. Coffee was awesome. Hardworking staff. Left a lovely note for us when we checked in. Always ready to assist.

Spectacular landscape views, there are cute small walks accessible from the property. Delicious cocktails and the chef clearly puts in special effort, the food was excellent. The included breakfast on the balcony was delightful. She we had places to go, we would have loved to stay longer.

I know Tunbridge Wells, sadly unlike Harrogate and...

I know Tunbridge Wells, sadly unlike Harrogate and Cheltenham it has been deficient in Council funds for some time and the only thing happening is retirement flats where the local developers have given backhanders to the Council. The parks and 200 acre common are attractive. The Pantiles has only three long term shops the rest are coffee shops which turn over. Thackeray’s and The Warren the best lunching places. Sadly the Tunbridge Wells cricket week has been allowed to disappear and the station car park normally has broken lifts.

At its heart, a lovely old spa town full of character.

At its heart, a lovely old spa town full of character. The historic Pantiles, full of cafes and restaurants, is a great place to eat and drink, shopping is good, and there is plenty of green space in the middle of town, with both the common and Dunorlan Park. Like all towns within commuter range of London it has sprawled a bit, but it retains its period character and charm.

A beautiful town - fab architecture, so much history, leafy and green, brilliant shopping and excellent restaurants. Important and fascinating places to visit within an hour’s travel, including Knowle, Sissinghurst, Hever, etc

It’s a lovely town to visit some really nice restaurants the hotel is really nice with some history that princess Victoria stayed there. I like that the rooms are called after different wines, no room numbers.

It's a very nice Town.

It's a very nice Town. It has good shops and also two very nice stores Fenwicks and the one near the Station. It also has some nice Restraunts and coffee shops. It's a very easy town to get around. It's also easy to take a train from there to London for the day. We were invited by family and friends for lunch most days. So can only really recommend the Spa Hotel for food. Hooper's is the other shopping store in Tunbridge Wells. They have nice snacks and cakes there.

The area around the Pantiles is charming.

The area around the Pantiles is charming. There is a wide variety of cafes and restaurants, boutiques, and book shops. We had very pleasant meals at Rocca, and The Ivy, both on the High Street in Tunbridge Wells. It is also an ideal place from which to explore the beautiful Kent countryside through some winding lanes. Chartwell (Winston Churchill's home), Hever Castle, and the gardens at Sissinghurst and Great Dixter were some of the highlights of our visit. There are many more places worth visiting, but we ran out of time.

The hotel is situated in trees and greenery on the common within easy 10 min walking distance of the town centre. On site car parking on a first come first served basis, Very spacious well appointed room , separate comfortable seating area and excellent bathroom with a roll top bath and rain shower. We took Sunday lunch in the upstairs dining room , nice round table for two , very good service. All the staff were friendly and helpful.

Good location, on the hill above but near to town centre and Pantiles. Good room facilities but no air-conditioning but a fan provided as it was how when we visited. The food was excellent - compliments to the chef for consistency and presentation. Good value for money, good attentive and friendly staff. Offers a much more enjoyable and relaxed stay than more expensive hotels we have stayed at around the world.

Free parking. V friendly and efficient reception staff. Quick check in. Comfortable bed. Of Tunbridge Wells Booking.com listed accommodation we have stayed in I rated it considerably better than the Travelodge, a big improvement on Salomons Estate, v slightly better than the Premier Inn, not as nice as the Spa Hotel.
