The location is in one of Kent’s prettiest spots, the Pantiles which is full of history, royal connections and mineral waters. The decor was very stylish, genteel even and welcoming. Lovely colours on the walls, paintings that matched the decor, a very cosy lounge downstairs with a fireplace. This was my second stay and again the staff were all amazingly helpful and friendly. They willingly stored our luggage including a wedding dress before we checked in and even after we checked out. I worked downstairs in the morning and felt relaxed and welcomed. I loved the music which added to the genteel Pantiles vibe. We had a light lunch which was delicious. I recommend the restaurant. I want to make this our family hotel for UK visits.

I loved so many things. The staff was amazing, extremely helpful & courteous. The breakfast was reasonably priced yummy and wonderful variety. Coffee was awesome. Hardworking staff. Left a lovely note for us when we checked in. Always ready to assist.

Southborough is a small town close to Tunbridge Wells,...

Southborough is a small town close to Tunbridge Wells, lovely wooded area and village green complete with cricket pitch and church with chiming bells. Traffic can frequently be very busy and scant parking although there are around a dozen places by the wood and church.

This trip was intended for two days.

This trip was intended for two days. It turned out that we had to deal with a family emergency while we were there and we were able to book a further 4 nights in the room. The staff were AMAZING, helpful, caring , kind, friendly and totally, professional., Tristan , Bruno and Solly in particular . As well as the lovely ladies that cleaned the room during our stay. You cannot buy that service . We cannot recommend this place enough.

I booked the room as I was going to the pantiles for a party...

I booked the room as I was going to the pantiles for a party. There is a good bus service and it was reasonable to get a taxi back. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay. I had a lovely lunch of prawns and a Buck’s Fizz before I left in the morning.

It was pure nostalia! We honeymooned at this Hotel in 1970...yes 54 years ago. It was called The Septre then but it was great to know it still exsists! We found the staff helpful and cheerful and the rooms were very clean and well decorated. The bathroom was well appointed and the bed very comfortable. We ate in the hotel's restaurant one evening and had a delicious breakfast in the bar area. All the staff were very attentive.

This was the only hotel offering rooms on the night within a 20 mile radius of an event we were attending so had no choice but to stay here . Check in was friendly , room was quite neat, well designed, if looking a little dated. Bathrooms were ok.

Great location, great hotel. A little tired in our room, bit of peeling paint in bedroom and tiny bit of mould in top right corner of bathroom possibly due to loose tile? (Room 8) Otherwise fab
