Lovely lodge with everything you need. I especially loved the shower! The lodge is larger than it seems in photos, very nice! The area was beautiful. I loved waking up surrounded by beautiful greenery.

What Guests Said About Staveley:

Scored out of 10, guest rating 8.0

The location was lovely as was the studio apartment.

The location was lovely as was the studio apartment. However, it was somewhat frustrating to be in a such a special property with some of the smaller detail showing neglect. The crockery should be put in the bin. Also, the pots and frying pan. The 'well equipped' kitchen was somewhat lacking - no potato masher, etc. Having a small wardrobe could easily have been accommodated. Much of what I have mentioned has been said before. It could be a 5 star studio if more attention was given to these areas.

A rural and peaceful location but with great accessibility to the Lakes for walking and cycling and to Staveley for food and drinks. The accommodation is beautifully designed with spectacular views , comfortable beds and top end bathrooms.

Nice little village about half way between Kendal and Windermere. By car it is only 10 mins to Windermere and 20 mins to Ambleside. Giving you easy access to the Lake District National Park. The village itself has a Fish and Chip Shop and a couple of nice Pubs. While we were there we had a lovely meal at the Eagle and Child Pub which also has a lovely riverside Beer Garden.

A lovely quiet village set in rolling hills that is not really on the main tourist trek but is easily reached. There is an excellent regular bus service through the village to all the main tourist destinations too. Plenty of walks from the village into the fells.

Staveley is a little hidden gem in the Lake District .

Staveley is a little hidden gem in the Lake District . Friendly neighbours, interesting history, good food and drink opportunities. Lovely scenery , clean and well kept. Amazing huge bike warehouse local brewery, coffee shop and post office which also has most delicious rolls for a picnic.dont miss the local butchers for local meat supplies. It has the tiniest theatre ever , but not open during our visit.
