I have visited Whitstable before on day trips so first time holidaying here. People are friendly both shops and locals The beach is shingle but not far to the sea and swimming was glorious. The Harbour Market is great, the seafood stalls very reasonable and fresh good variety. You can book 30 min boat trips £12.00 or a Seal Safari which was amazing but bit pricey at £35.00. Stalls selling various wares hand made. Town has many shops, pubs, eateries. I recommend Lazy Lobster for lobster and seafood , Zizzis for pizza, Harbour Street Fish n Chips- all superb ! Not much to see at the Castle but has a lovely garden and Tea/coffee shop. I took buses but also used Whitstable Cars to get around- fast friendly service. Lovely walking the shore , both ways and seeing phenomenal sunsets, walking round town. Neptune pub is right on the beach.

My happy place.

My happy place. Nice walks, shops, people and dog friendly wherever you go. Hotel fish and chips were lovely. Seafood bought at a few places-all delicious. Lots of Morris dancers, which was fun. Great quality bespoke shops to explore.

Great restaurants (Birdies) and pubs, all dog friendly. Lovely little market at harbor. We also took a boat trip out to see the WW2 gun turrets. Great easy walks along the sea front and boutique shops in high street.

Maintains the vibe of a Kent resort that probably goes back many years by a focus on local business and entertainment. Noted rising costs over a year ago but not unexpected and absence of empty shops tells its own story. We will go again.

Whitstable is a charming city with lots of crafty shops, art...

Whitstable is a charming city with lots of crafty shops, art galleries, charity shops and places to have oysters and seafood. I highly recommend the Whitstable Oyster Brewing pub right by the oyster farm on the beach. You can easily walk around the city; everything is within a 15-20 minute walk maximum. Be aware that opening times are a bit weird compared to big cities. In the harbour, I think opening times are subject to the weather as well. I went there for the DAILY oyster happy hour between 5-6 pm, and EVERYTHING was closed on a rainy Thursday. There are many little alleys, and I liked the Stream Walk a lot, which took me from my accommodation into the city centre right by a little stream, away from smelly and loud cars.

Amazing location even having to check in at the sister hotel which is a bit if a walk from the boat house wouldn't put us off staying again. It was lovely clean and check in was smooth. Good value for a night's stay. Had tea coffee making facilities comfy bed and shower. We will be back . Really near the fantastic restaurant the whitstable oyster company and pubs such as the persons Arms lazy lobster and short walk from the Neptune. Also there is a little place outside to have brekkie on the beach right outside the huts.

The situation of the hotel was certainly accessible from the motorway to Whitstable. The views were terrific and staff were extremely friendly and helpful. It was clean and comfortable. There was a wedding being held there but it didn't intrude or impact at all on our stay. It was kept totally separate and after an evening out it was very quiet on our return. We can also recommend the Tidehouse restaurant in Whitstable which is affiliated with The Crescent Turner hotel.
