Everything about this hotel exceeded our expectations! It has been recently renovated to a very high standard and the design and furnishings are stylish and comfortable. The hotel is stunning. The staff were lovely and welcoming and went out of their way at breakfast to provide a gluten free alternative. It made a nice change to have some interesting items on the breakfast menu such as eggs benedict, florentine etc and it was all freshly cooked to order, rather than being a breakfast buffet. If you ordered breakfast in advance at the hotel (which we did when we arrived) it was only £10 per head which was very good value. The room we were allocated was spotless, stylishly furnished, very comfortable bed (one of the best hotel beds we have slept in!) and lovely bathroom.

Good walks along the seafront. Plenty places to eat and drink. Good bus connections if you want to travel further ie Brighton, Littlehampton or further beyond. Visit timed right for the Lions festival, firework display and the classic car shows

Worthing seems to have drifted downhill for some years.

Worthing seems to have drifted downhill for some years. Most of the big name stores (Debenhams, BHS, Bentalls) have gone, and some areas look a bit run down. However there is a lot of construction in progress so perhaps things are improving. And there is still a lot to see, the town museum and art gallery is excellent, they have a pier, a pebbly beach and rock pools when the tide is out, good walks along the sea front, some interesting shops in pedestrian only shopping areas, and a decent selection of cafes, restaurants, and pubs - try Bauji for the best Indian food you will ever taste, and Kolbeh for wonderful Persian food. The town is also well served for travel by public transport. There are frequent trains to Gatwick Airport, to London, and along the coast, and excellent bus services around the town and to nearby towns and villages.

I enjoyed the views of the shoreline as we walked along the Worthing pier and the promenade. There are several shops in the area although some have closed, and there is an area of shops where only pedestrians are allowed, making it a safer shopping experience. The promenade is okay for driving along but the streets further back from the road are quite narrow and parking is very hard to find everywhere!

ok but i was there on a hot sunny day --not a lot to do if the weather was not good ----front as most of old coast towns looks dilapidated in a lot of areas--high street is ok most of normal shops --beach is stones --has a Victorian pier-ok for a visit--best place to eat on the front is the crab shack --very good local caught fish and seafood---not cheap!! BUTTTTTTT---the parking is terrible very difficult to park on busy days --need to get there before 10am to stand a chance of parking on a hot day--traffic wardens in full force!!!!

Would recommend Worthing for a short break getaway. Lots of restaurants, cafes, eateries etc. Decent assortment of shops and nice walks along the beach. Decent amenities at the railway station and the cleanliness of the town was observed.

This is a lovely hotel that we've been to a few times before! It's in a great location, right by the beach and pier, shops and places to eat, bus station, and train station 15 minutes walk away!! It's a good base to explore Sussex by bus from!! Which is what we like to do! The breakfast is also delicious, especially the cooked breakfast which is local food, like the Worthing Sausage!!

Great hotel in good location in Worthing. Comfortable and clean rooms with a no fuss keypad entry making it a very easy experience. Provision of tea, coffee, and cutlery for takeouts much appreciated, as were the bag of sweets left on the bed. Everyone we met was very friendly and helpful. This was our 3rd stay and we will definitely be back.
