Beautiful old hotel right in the middle of town and on the water. Hotel has had a wonderful upgrade - bright crisp rooms and bathroom. Very comfortable beds. Parking was easy as well, but might be more difficult in the busy season.

It’s a roomy vintage hotel, and the manager was kind enough to upgrade my room since it was available. They have two sitting rooms in the ground floor, an elevator, a nice dining room where they serve breakfast, including eggs & sausage if you wish. Their dining room is open on weekends, but I missed that, so no review for that. It’s a very short walk to the beach, which is lovely. Plus the sightseeing bus has started to run for the season.

Pier was disappointing nothing was open till nearly lunch time. On the beach get place for sausage baps. Really tasty, coffee was good. Friendly staff. Good souvenir shop next door. Beach was pebbles. Nice place to walk early evening along the front, gardens. Morning was watching people go for a sauna then getting into the cold tubs. Not to far to walk into town, great shopping centre. Side road was good fish and chip shop other end was a nice restaurant that sold that homemade icecream.

Decent coastal town with almost "spa like" atmosphere.

Decent coastal town with almost "spa like" atmosphere. Saturday evening had very good band playing at the end of the pier, generally very pleasant time altogether. And Eastbourne is far more family friendly than Brighton, which gets way too loud, smelly, busy... Of course the amazing Beachy Head and Seven Sisters cliffs are only short hop away on the coastal bus 👍🏻

The weather was lovely which certainly helped. There plenty of places to walk during the day and plenty of good restaurants to go to in the evening. It's not just full of old people as we're often told. There plenty of theatres but unfortunately a lot of the pubs are quiet at the moment.

Was surprised how quiet it was bearing in mind it was during the school summer holidays. Beach is very stoney so probably not too child friendly which maybe explains why it wasn’t busier. Lots of beautiful architecture and most of the buildings look pristine and well cared for. Mostly clean and tidy wherever you go. A good selection of restaurants and entertainment at bandstand most evenings (during our stay anyway). Sightseeing bus trip reasonable and impressed at £5.50 all day charge to use land train which can take you to the marina where we had a relaxing lunch.

We went to one of the shows in the bandstand while we were there but could see others from out-r window! (but the noise wasn't intrusive). I love sovereign harbour and we visited twice. We also visited beachy head - and pevensey bay (parking was busy that day - I think it was weekend).

I love this hotel. It is right on the seafront, opposite the wish tower, and the sea view rooms are lovely as a result. It is probably classed as a ‘budget hotel’, but I’ve stayed in several rooms that have all been comfortable and clean. On my recent stay, I was upgraded so I appreciated that. Every staff member I’ve interacted with has been lovely. It’s my first choice hotel in Eastbourne due to value for money, location, and friendly/relaxed vibe.

Good breakfast, welcoming/professional staff and a fascinating building. Great location. Free parking, which is rare for any seafront hotel but especially in Eastbourne and the surrounding areas. Room basic but clean, comfortable and everything worked. Entertainment expected standard for price but maybe the bingo should happen first, not in the middle.

Excellent location on the seafront, right infront of the pier and only 10 mins walk to the town centre & rail station. Staff were excellent at this hotel and the food (I had breakfast and dinner) was pretty decent. Andrew the entertainer (quizmaster & singer) was great!

The hotel is located on the seafront of Eastbourne with easy access to pubs/entertainment. We stayed there for Beachy Head Ultra, where the start line was within walking distance from the hotel. The hotel also has a breakfast buffet.
