It's the little things that show the quality of someone's business. When the owner knows we are coming with children and leaves crayons and colouring books in the drawer of the bedroom for them to play with, it is what I call a good business. Attention to detail is all I can say about this house. Really, if I moved into that house right now, I wouldn't need to bring in a single thing. If you are travelling with small kids, look no further. The closed yard with no dangers inside is a bliss for peaceful evenings. Really, really kid-safe place. I read the comments that the parking gate is narrow, and it's true, but I rented a large SUV there and parked it without much hassle.

Everything exceeded our expectation, even though we arrived very early, they accomodated us and did a early check in, staff is exceptional! Especially the servers! Best team ever, the room was very confortable. The hotel is very near the beach, very clean and nice are, next to a supermarket, pharmacy, clinic and bus station (hourly schedule 2.6 euro if you buy from driver cash or card is accepted, best plan is to go to city and buy a ticket with 10 rides +/- 13 euro) They have a very modern and boho vibe terrace, that looks amazing

Karteros is a convenient location, especially because it’s close to the airport. The beach has some organized areas with sunbeds, but it gets very busy during the summer peak season, particularly on Sundays when many locals also head to the beaches. The sunbeds tend to get taken quickly, so if you miss out, you can still relax on the sand—but bringing your own umbrella is a good idea for some shade.

We were initially reluctant about the close distance between the airport and the hotel (due to the low planes) but not only were the planes quite a joy to see but it also gave us more time on our holiday and less time faffing about with transfers. The hotel itself was beautiful and all facilities were immaculate and well thought through. The choice of food and drink throughout our stay was wonderful and varied from one meal/day to the next. The staff were all highly professional, friendly and accommodating and we couldn’t have asked for more other than an extra week! We would highly recommend and would love to come again!

Close distance to airport,minimarkets and beach,everything you need is clos by. WiFi works literally everywhere even outside by the swimming pool. Stuff very friendly even if you ask silly questions, they are always ready to help! Short distance to Heraklion (you can buy bus tickets for 1,60€ from minimarket next door and bus stop is just 100m from the hotel) from where you can take bus to see Knossos for example,it's 15€ for entry), also when you get off the bus in Heraklion their national museum is right in front of the bus station (12€ entry)

So the rooms are small, but they're cozy.

So the rooms are small, but they're cozy. You only need the room to sleep in, and it functions just fine for that. They have a pool, laundry facilities, breakfast, and a balcony to enjoy that beautiful sea breeze. It is located directly across the street from the beach and centrally to multiple mini markets and restaurants. Close to the freeway and airport. And staff is fantastic. Highly recommend!!!!

No air conditioned in bedrooms ! Only in living room ! We had to live without sleeping because of the terribile hot. When we asked for our money back, they answered that it was'nt specified that AC was in every rooms but is clear that if the house has 3 floors you can not write that there is AC if only one room has it! We wasted money and time

Really little city, you can find food, and markets, go to the beach and that really is all. Would recommend going to Heraklion nearby and the whole island for a week stay. (Didn't try the Minoan Experience tho)

It was a 3-4 minute walk to the main road which had two mini markets and a great restaurant which provided a wide variety of food at cheap prices. There is also a bus stop across the road from the restaurant where you can catch a bus to Heraklion city for €1.60 which takes approx 35 minutes. Karteros beach is approx 10 minutes walk where you will find numerous bars open for business. Also, at the top of the hill going south east there is a bus nearly every hour that goes to Agios Nikolaos among other places, which is worth a visit.

An amazing hotel with a great sandy beach. Although the hotel is not big, it has everything for a great stay if you are looking for a relaxing vacation by the sea: delicious food, quiet, very clean private beach. The stuff was super friendly and helpful (many thanks to Andrianna at the reception and Maria at the Spa)

The hotel is just stunning. Staff helpful and friendly, all amenities just over the moon. SPA zone and massage was the best. Rooms are spacious, the pool, the beds are the most comfortable ever. The best decision to stay here!!
