The staff were wonderful, we were given a free upgrade which was welcome at the end of our trip around Greece. The room was comfortable and clean, the pool and bar were lovely. Overall, a very nice stay before leaving the country.

The staff and owner here are my very favorite! I have stayed here for years with my kids and family when we travel from the islands to Athens by ferry. I love the people, the food and the location! It is an easy walk to dinner with a few great choices and the hotel has excellent food and bar service as well. The hospitality and staff are the shining star! I love the family there! Maria is very kind, have a nice spirit and a great welcoming smile. She accommodated all my requests including last minute extension for an additional night and even preparing quickly coffee to go so I can catch my taxi. These things make a whole difference in my opinion. Very nice view from the room and comfortable bed.

Beautiful place, lovely restaurants and beaches.

Beautiful place, lovely restaurants and beaches. Clearly a little run down and struggling economically. The presence of poor graffiti and unfinished buildings spoiled the experience a little but overall it's just absolutely stunning.

Very quiet place to rest after your cruise!

Very quiet place to rest after your cruise! Even the taxi drivers were having difficulty finding the hotel. Unfortunately we won't be visiting again ! Absolutely would not recommend it if you want a fun packed holiday with great quality food and drink !

Lovely hotel and very clean. Breakfast very good. The pool area and gardens were lovely. The only downside was there were a few people / families around the pool that were not guests taking up sun beds. Overall excellent hotel with a few restaurants within easy walk.

Very small town but good selection of bars, restaurants and hotels. Always the sound of the sea gently lapping the shore. A short walk out of town takes you to a smart restaurant called Samia and a lovely rustic Greek taverna serving fresh fish and both right by the sea.

We were welcomed with a smile and warm greetings. Informed us of the times food would be served, for evening and breakfast, asked if we needed anything, if so please ask. Helpful with directions to local restaurants. The hotel was super clean and fresh, our room had good view of the sea, clean, bed was comfortable.

Quiet local area with a couple of places to eat out.

Quiet local area with a couple of places to eat out. Good food and a small local shop. The hotel is around 40 minutes to Athens town, taxi's are between 35 to 40€. 48€ if you book through the hotel. Local bus is hourly but to get to Athens you'd need to change and then get a train. We only went into Athens for one day via taxi and crammed everything in. If you book a return taxi it's cheaper. Athens Site-seeing, markets and local shops are fabulous. We walked around Mati but it's in the suburbs so no site-seeing. but our holiday was to relax and Mati hotel was perfect for that. We'd go again.

Having been to Athens many many times, and not wanting the hustle and bustle, this was the perfect relax ending to our Greek holiday. Fabulous location, only 20/25 mins from airport. Have stayed at airport before which was great but if you only have 24 hrs before flight, I’d highly recommend this hotel. Gorgeous coastal walk, and beach swims.

Mati Hotel has a nice location direct on the beach on a quiet road. We recieved an update to the luxery room with corner balcony with perfect seaview. Beds are very good. Restaurant and also Barservice is good price/quality. Nice Pool with beds (pool has salted water). Staff is very nice and professional.

Excellent location for exploring the outskirts of Athens and the Athyka peninsula. Great breakfast on the terrace in front of the sea. Staff very friendly. Parking free and very easy to find around the hotel.
