United StatesThe staff was so accommodating. The hotel had a lovely pool and was across the road from the beach, so swimming was perfect.
The room was well appointed, clean and comfortable. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom had a nice as shower. Overall , great space.
I had some very nice walks about the town and restaurants were nearby.
It was nice to have my own balcony. The room had a refrigerator, safe, and plenty of storage space.
The atmosphere was very friendly and welcoming.

The morning breakfast buffet was vast and whoever was in the kitchen definitely enjoyed making deserts (even for breakfast!). The small beach in front of the hotel was breathtakingly beautiful! The pool was a perfect place for a family with kids to relax/have fun!

Skala is full of nice restaurants and bars.
Skala is full of nice restaurants and bars. The beaches are big and well organised however, if you are looking for an authentic Greek experience then this is not the place.
I would recommend Skala for a three or four day visit combined with other locations around Kefalonia.

We ate at Pines and Mikelitos.
Had lunch at drinks at the windmill next to tara Beach.
Hired boat for the day and watersports with dolphin water sports.

Skala is great for a beach holiday with the option of a well maintained pool at the hotel we stayed at. The town centre is a pedestrian area with a great choice of restaurants and shops and very nice atmosphere.

Great resort, with beautiful beaches and plenty of restaurants. It has a laid back relaxed feel but with enough going on for a couple of weeks stay. Look out for the Captain Vangelis Cruises, particularly the one to Fiskardo which is a great Day out. also a great beach spot is Ammo’s restaurant/bar the facilities on the beach are excellent with great service and a good menu.

We have been coming to Kefalonia for about 10 years and back...
We have been coming to Kefalonia for about 10 years and back to Skala many times.
The local beaches are excellent but we normally hire a car so that we can go to some of the more remote beaches.
Skala offers something for everyone especially if you stay slightly out of the town. It has a variety of shops and lovely restaurants and doesn't get too noisy in June and September.
I don't think I would like to be there in July and August as it would be too busy and very hot!

We chose Skala as my husband has walking difficulties.
We chose Skala as my husband has walking difficulties. It is flat along the front with a short hill which he managed to some of the restaurants but some restaurants on the flat. There are lots of pretty coastal villages but either very quiet or accommodation is up a hill or don't have a swimming pool. Skala fitted what we wanted

Perched right on the cliffside, this hotel offers breathtaking, uninterrupted views of the sea. While it is a pleasant 30-minute walk into Skala, taxis are readily available. I highly recommend renting a car to fully explore the island, especially since the hotel provides convenient on-site parking. Our stay was incredibly relaxing, made even better by the delicious daily breakfast and the exceptionally friendly staff. We would absolutely return!

The hotel is located in a beautiful situation overlooking the beaches of Skala, with very clean facilities and comfortable rooms. The staff were very friendly and smiley at all times. We would definitely come back and will be recommending to our family & friends.

Location, balcony facing the sea (although all the rooms looked good on website), double glazing so no noise from hotels either side and lovely shower room. They actually cleaned our room and made up the beds everyday - outstanding thank you.
