United StatesThe room was very comfortable, plenty of room to store our unpacked clothes. It was quiet! The coffee (sourced locally), tea and hot chocolate was a great addition. The breakfast , included with the room, was outstanding. The food in the pub was delicious. Lastly, the staff were helpful and very friendly .

It depends on what one's reason for wanting to stay in that area. We were attending a race meeting at Oulton Park and chose a place fairly close to the venue. The area itself is completely rural and one needs a reason to visit it.

Higher Burwardsley is in a pretty location on a hill...
Higher Burwardsley is in a pretty location on a hill overlooking the Cheshire Plain. There are some good local walls plus it is close to Chester. Its crowning glory is the Pheasant Inn, which is a great pub and lovely place to stay.

Excellent venue with good food but be aware thus is a dog friendly venue and many of the guests brought dogs into the restaurant.
Food, staff and service was excellent and I would recommend this venue for anyone staying in this area.

Its a very beautiful location and great for walks especially if you have a dog, as the place is very dog friendly.
Service in the restaurant was quick and friendly.The food on offer is not fine dining but high quality pub food, cooked very well and served with a smile.

Its not a hotel its a room at a village public house. and an old one but it had it's own bit of charm. Once you accept that it's fine. It was clean the bed was comfortable the shower did its job and I slept well. It was value for money. The staff were really nice and the restaurant food was good. I'd stay again. I needed to be away before breakfast so they made me a real nice bacon butty and a nice cup of coffee. There's free WIFI.

Beautifully presented accommodation with lovely surrounding gardens, fabulous views of Cheshire and superb country walks on the doorstep.
Within easy reach of historical castle sites & all that Chester has to offer. Local pub in walking distance & a visit to the Pheasant at Higher Burwardsley recommended.

The bedroom was very spacious, large bed, with a separate shower to the bath in the bathroom. There were also robes which were a nice plus. The room was also very clean and the location is very picturesque and the only hotel in a good vicinity.

Food was amazing!! especially the chicken curry. Lovely dog friendly hotel very nice staff. Spotlessly clean with a gorgeous room we will definitely come back to stay again i would highly recommend it
