Our stay in Vlahava near Meteora was an unforgettable surprise — a true hidden gem that felt like we were living above the clouds. The views were absolutely breathtaking, and the peaceful mountain setting made it feel magical from the moment we arrived. There were two local tavernas in the village, both serving delicious, authentic food with warm, friendly service. The hospitality throughout our stay was incredible. Our hosts Vaios and Maria made us feel right at home and treated our children like their own grandchildren — something we’ll always remember. If you’re looking for a quiet, authentic experience only a short drive from the Meteora with heartwarming local charm, this place is something truly special. We cannot wait to visit again!

We loved everything about this hotel—the location, the views from our balcony, the breakfast, the cleanliness, and the staff. Kastraki is a smaller town than Kalabaka and we were happy with this. We were still able to walk to restaurants in Kastraki from the hotel. We loved the easy accessibility to hiking trails….literally right next to the property.

Perfect location to explore the Meteora area and start your hike, at the same time close to the city center and all the great bars and restaurants. Absolutely loved our stay here. I have to say that it exceeded our expectations. The staff was very helpful, courteous and went out of their way to enhance our stay. They even let us stay longer after checkout since our train was leaving later. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

The town is very peaceful with two great restaurants with...

The town is very peaceful with two great restaurants with amazing food and reasonable prices. This is a place to get away from the crowds on the other side of Meteora. Wish there was a mini-mart closer for supplies, but otherwise this is a great place to be in the country.
