The island was really serene, but the thing that got me most was the service and the level of sincerity that comes from the staff. They always made us feel so welcome, very well taken care of. I went there to celebrate my husband's birthday and they really took the time to make the room extra special, they did not 1 but 3 handwritten and personalized notes for us to remember the occasion. We had to buggy everywhere which was always so efficient and we never had to wait longer than 5-10 minutes. We were always informed on everything, if there was any delay or surge in buggy/in-room demand so it definitely managed our expectations. Our villa was truly perfect, i think it was a little paradise near home and time felt much more slower there which is what i loved. We got to soak in every minute of the island. We went for the BBQ night at the Salt Restaurant and it was really sweet that they remembered it was my husband's bday and while we had dinner, they sang and played a saxophone wishing my husband a happy birthday. It felt truly special. I will definitely go back there if i need another retreat, it was an experience both my husband and i will never forget. The hotel is very well laid out - it is easy to find a quiet spot without too many other people around. The food is also very good quality and very reasonably priced. The spa facilities are great - I had a fantastic massage, facial and the best foot massage that I have ever had! I have sensitive skin but the facial was very calming. The rooms are amazing and very spacious and all the toiletries provided meant that I didn't have to bring these with me.
