The place was amazing. Rooms were spacious and clean. The bathroom was outside but there were no bugs or mosquitos. The staff was great and it was possible to book everything with them like rent a scooter, transportation. Breakfast was also amazing with fresh fruits and either pancake or eggs.

Our stay at Malasama Suites Villa was truly exceptional from beginning to end. The hospitality here is on another level — warm, genuine, and heartfelt. You can really feel that the entire team cares about their guests. The staff made our experience unforgettable, and we want to personally thank everyone who made our stay so special: Iwenk (housekeeping) – always smiling and keeping everything spotless Juju (front office) – incredibly kind and helpful at all times Putra (engineer / “sneak guy”) – quick to assist and always friendly Banjir (gardener) – maintaining the beautiful greenery that made us feel close to nature Sheli (housekeeping) – thoughtful and attentive Shila (manager) – welcoming, supportive, and ready to help with anything Willis (housekeeping) – hardworking and warm-hearted Zul (front office) – always ready to assist with a smile Gina (housekeeping) – even though she wasn’t in the picture, we appreciated her work too The villa itself is surrounded by beautiful nature, with the jungle just steps away. Waking up to lush greenery and the sounds of wildlife was magical. We even had friendly monkeys come to visit — such a unique and charming experience! The atmosphere is peaceful, relaxing, and perfect for anyone wanting to enjoy Lombok’s natural beauty while still feeling completely taken care of. We enjoyed everything here! My partner and I kept on extending our stay here as we have found our favorite hotel in Kuta! We stayed in several places in town with a budget of 17 to 55€ and Qwank is by far the best place! The 103 room is wide, pretty, bright, modern, clean, plenty of storage, AC works perfectly. Bathroom is also big with hot water. It reaches almost the european standards and it feels good to be that comfy when you’ve been traveling a lot. Also, the plus points of the room are the hairdryer, the safe, the kettle, some instant coffee, tissues. There are right now 6 rooms in the homestay, the garden is pretty, we have our terrace with a table and two chairs. The common area for breakfast is outdoor, it’s where you can chat with the others guests, work. It had free water and a fridge. Coffee and sugar are also available. There is a surfboards rack as well. We choose the option to have breakfast included: you can choose between omelette, scrambled eggs or pancake, it comes with tea or coffee. But you can order a banana juice instead. Portions are generous and you can always ask for boiled eggs of sunny side up if you want a change. The service is just truly amazing here! Saleh who is in charge of the service, cleaning, is just so kind and helpful! Always joyful and willing to make your stay just perfect. He always offer to clean and change the sheets in our room. His care is incredible. Dedi, the owner, is the most generous soul. He’s so nice and love to teach us some bahasa and sasak languages. On top of that, his wife made to us all in the homestay, a big traditional lombok dinner just for the pleasure of sharing their culture. We feel so grateful to be their guests and have found this little paradise. So overall, the service and the price are just unbeatable!

Modern and beautiful villa. The room was very spacious with a giant bathroom and balcony. The style and decor in the whole villa is very classy. It has a nice view and occasionally you will see cute monkeys from afar. Staff were very attentive and helpful, we had a delicious breakfast and fresh juice every morning.

Interesting place, unbelievable amount of restaurants. Lots of young tourists, the town is a buzz with 2 large venues in particular crowded with 20 - 40 year olds. Some young couples with pre school kids, very few older people. Probably as getting around the need to be able to ride a motorbike. We got a driver to take us to the waterfalls and a working weaving village. We had a guide at the waterfall, which we enjoyed.

The traffic in Kuta is very heavy.

The traffic in Kuta is very heavy. It smells of sewerage in quite a few places. It does have some good cafes and supermarkets. If you are looking for a cleaner place go to Tanjung Ann Beach or Selong Belanak Beach. Less crowded, less polution, more space, more serene.

Kuta, Lombok exceeded all of our expectations.

Kuta, Lombok exceeded all of our expectations. It has a relaxed atmosphere, beautiful beaches, and some of the friendliest people we have ever met. Everyone was welcoming, genuinely kind, and always happy to help. There are plenty of great restaurants offering delicious local and international food, and the town has a perfect balance of vibrant cafés, beach bars, and peaceful spots to relax. A special mention goes to Abdul and his WOW Crepes stand on the main street. Not only are the crepes absolutely delicious, but Abdul's friendliness and positive energy made every visit a pleasure. If you're in Kuta, don't miss it! We had an unforgettable time and would gladly return. Kuta is the kind of place that makes you feel at home from the moment you arrive.

Kuta Lombok has a very relaxed vibe, many people their are chilled and happy. It is perfect to give you a vacation atmosphere without the hassle of drunks around you. It is safe and offers an amazing choice of places to eat - western and local! Not far from Kuta are great beaches reachable by bike or car. Highly recommend Mawun and Paintaii Tanjung Aan

Actively developing part of the island.

Actively developing part of the island. Great for surfers, young people and those who drive/comfortable riding a scooter. Main activity is surfing and surf-camping. If you are comfortable driving/scootering, you will have a much better experience as there is no public transport. You can take the opportunity to explore cleaner, sandier, more secluded beaches. You can also travel to North Lombok for a more verdant and cultural experience. Without own transport, you are limited to Kuta Beach (which is not the cleanest/prettiest) and local surf and clothing vendors. Lots of good cafés and places to eat, although most vendors cater to a very western palate so flavour can sometimes be lacking. I traveled here for a two week Surf-camp and was transported around to all the good beaches for this, so I was very lucky (as I don't drive/ride a scooter), however I felt I couldn't get the most out of this trip as I did not have my own vehicle.

Compared to other places we visited in Lombok, Kuta seemed very touristy and had lots of restaurants that specialized in burgers and pizza which we found to be unappealing. Our guide lives in the northern part of the island and if I had known that ahead of time, I would have picked a location like Mataram or Senggigi which would have given us a easier access to all of Lombok. We liked that Lombok was less crowded than Bali and prices were consistently low to moderate.

We had a perfect stay at hotel El Tropico. All the personnel are very polite, friendly and helpful. We also got some good advice to visit Selong beach for surfing and had a great day there. The swimmingpoolarea at the hotel is beautiful and we had some great cocktails and snacks here. The hotelroom is beautiful and had everything we needed. We would definitly come back again.

We had a great stay at Susurro Villas. The best part was the small kitchen and a personal water dispenser which we didn't have in any other villas/hotels! The wifi worked perfectly, which is also a rarity. If you are visiting during rainy season, brace yourself with some mosquito spray!
