The family gave us access to the whole 2nd floor of their house (2 bedrooms with fan, 1 living room, balcony, turkish toilet + shower, no sink). They made sure we had everything we needed. The view and the location, which is right next to the komodo dragon park, was perfect. Note that the refrigerator and other amenities are in the kitchen which is occupied by the family. The lady of the house was really kind and boiled our eggs for our lunch - I would not of ask to use the kitchen for my own purpose.

We had the most amazing experience at this home stay. Akbar was truly an exceptional host who had already thought of all the details and made sure we had the best time possible. Despite our last minute booking, Akbar was able to help us arrange a private wooden boat (for a very fair price), which Akbar and his friends used to pick us up from Labuan Bajo when our flight arrived. We were happy to experience some of the best snorkeling spots we had ever been, including some private beaches that were not overcrowded with other tours. The stay at Komodo village itself was a unique experience that we could not have had if we had booked one of the common liveaboard boat tours. Instead, we were able to connect with locals and learn about the story of their village in a very authentic way. It felt more like an invitation to visit their home instead of standard tourist experiences. Everyday, Akbar and his wife prepared delicious home cooked meals. We also appreciated how down to earth Akbar was and enjoyed hearing about his story and dreams, as well as challenges, for Komodo village. We very much support his efforts in helping his community. We would 10/10 recommend this home stay to anyone who is considering visiting Komodo Island and would like a more authentic local experience.

Easily one of the most rich experiences we have had on our travels. We enjoyed spending time with jecky’s family, eating delicious home cooked meals, seeing Komodos (of which there are many behind the village), trekking in the national park, swimming with mantas, hiking Padar…the list goes on! Even just sitting on the balcony and watching the fishing boats or the resident dugong play with a sea turtle is a great way to pass the time. Jecky is a great host and has great English. You can arrange/discuss all your travels and activities with him via WhatsApp prior. And his wife is a great cook! This is a unique opportunity you will be lucky to have. It’s a homestay (not some bland hotel experience) so come ready for adventure.

Five-star trip experience in komodo island! Erjun is really reliable. He knows where to find more komodo dragons outside of the national park and also keep you safe. He also knows the best time to visit sight seeings so you can enjoy the view without too many tourists. Just let him know what you prefer and he'll give you good suggestions. The homestay is really cozy. Food is fresh and delicious. People are friendly. It's the best option if you'd like to experience how the local life is. All in all, you'll get a totally customized trip. Just stay with Erjun!

Very friendly guest. If you want to do the trips around Labuan Bajo, sleep here, because he cand arrange your transfer to Komodo + the touristic spots around. He is a ranger in the National Park, knows the spots. We saw 7 dragons. Food cooked by his wife very delicious. Free Wi-Fi also.
