PortugalThe breakfast was delicious, the accommodations were outstanding. The view was gorgeous and the Hostess and staff were super friends and welcoming! Felt like family, the best part of the experience. It felt like we were home! The building and furnishings were so beautiful, we loved the artwork and historical Maps on the walls, they were very informative. The location was fantastic, super relaxing and a very short walk to a wonderful Pub. We visited the Bád Eddie shipwreck which was super close and very cool! Gorgeous Beach and surrounding area. Great location. The only thing we would do differently next time is to stay longer!

Teach Hudí Beag is a fantastic pub, with excellent staff, the most wonderful traditional music sessions on Friday nights and (I think) Monday nights, and Irish the spoken language throughout. Caife Chití just opposite is the perfect place for breakfasts, salads, lunches. And the tours in nearly Croithlí distillery are both entertaining and informative --- the whiskey tastings are great too!!!!

Although only there for a short while Bunbeg has all the ingredients of the mystic west. The sunset was spectacular over the beach. Bád Eddie (Eddies boat) on Bunbeg's Magheraclogher beach, in Gaoth Dobhair (Gweedore) is a must see.
The official story is that the boat was stranded on the beach but we heard from a good source that Eddie did it deliberately. He beached the boat in order to fit a new engine but he was going through a divorce and his wife asked for her share of the boat so he never repaired it.

The Ocean lodge is set in a wonderful part of Donegal, with stunning coastal views. It was warm and cosy, nicely furnished, well equipped and the bed was very comfortable. There was a lovely welcome basket of scones, jam and butter along with some complementary wine. The hosts were very friendly and helpful and when we mentioned we were unsure where to eat that evening, they recommended a lovely bar/restaurant and even booked it in their name for us. Thank you! We look forward to returning in the future.

The location was superb (by the Bunbeg marina) and 1 kilometre from the village centre. The proprietor Anne was friendly and helpful. She helped us with a lot of local information, for example the live Irish music played in the local pub at night, local restaurants, shops, and places to see. We liked the outside resting facility with several chairs and tables. There was a private locked entrance for the quests. A free car park was a real bonus!

The house is beautiful, rooms are so clean and cosy and have everything you need - hair dryer, tea& coffee making facilities, plugd close to beds, reading lamps, spare blankets etc. some rooms have a beautiful sea view. Staff were really friendly, welcoming and helpful. Great selection at breakfast also. The house is centrally located and there is a great local restaurant and bar just across the road
