The location was perfect for us! It was right near an excellent restaurant and a local pub. It was central to all things Kilkee! It was near where our relations live. We got to meet with friends and see the sights of Kilkee and Loop Head.

The hosts Isabelle and Gary are truly lovely people and we loved chatting to them and meeting their beautiful new baby and friendly dog Otis. We felt very welcome and much appreciated a welcome cup of tea and carrot cake on arrival after cycling a long way to get there. They even offered a lift to town for dinner which was a lovely touch. The property is charming with a lovely garden. Importantly the shower was warm worked great. The breakfast is great - they went to a lot of trouble. They even packed us up some food for lunch before we checked out. Very highly recommended!

This property is just beautiful...from the location and the views to the gorgeous comfortable home away from home feel. It is exceptionally clean and tidy not a speck of dust and the beds were amazingly comfortable. Kilkee for me is Irelands greatest little village with a multitude of places to swim and scenic walks great places to eat good pubs and hotels/band b's. Also nearby local villages worth visiting too

The Town itself and the coastal area and countryside around...

The Town itself and the coastal area and countryside around and to the South was attractive and interesting to explore as part of our tour of the Wild Atlantic Way. We had stayed in The Rose Hotel in Tralee the night before and were able to drive from there, using the ferry across the Shannon, arriving there at between 5.30 and 6 pm on a very hot warm Saturday Evening. It is I expect normally a quite seaside resort but in July in the middle of a settled heat wave. Few places to eat, lots of difficulty getting parked and lots of noise from local bars and other businesses. We did enjoy a meal at Naughton's further up the O'Curry Street in Kilkee, on Sunday evening. Also Beach looked safe but was quite busy and crowded.

We didn't spend much time in Kilkee as it was just a base...

We didn't spend much time in Kilkee as it was just a base for visiting friends and family nearby, but we did walk on the beach and did most of the cliff walk. It's a good base for exploring the Loop Head peninsula too, but we did that on a previous visit. I would definitely stay there again, although not in the same apartments.

Lovely beach and swimming, visited Hook Head Lighthouse ans...

Lovely beach and swimming, visited Hook Head Lighthouse ans saw lots of Basking Sharks gathered for mating season, amazing. Met some lovely locals who made us feel very welcome and had brilliant trad session in O Meara's bar. Will be back.

The beach is fab, we also did the Flying Alpaca farm which...

The beach is fab, we also did the Flying Alpaca farm which the kids loved. Visited Vandeleur Gardens which were nice with activities for the kids and a nice cafe. Had dinner one evening at Myles Creek and went to O"Neills Funfair arcade as it was raining.

This is a great base for touring the area but transport is...

This is a great base for touring the area but transport is required unless you are super fit for hiking or cycling! We stayed 3 nights which we thought was sufficient to cover the area. There are a number of independent shops as there are in other places in Ireland but good to see them, we have lost so many from our high streets within the UK. Just opposite the hotel is a deli that made great sandwiches to order at a reasonable price. Numerous bars in the area if you wanted to take in the ambience plus the hotel had a bar with a good selection of drinks. Clean beach with a number of people swimming despite it being cold, obviously hardy souls!
