The apartment was very spacious, clean and comfortable. We had two ensuite bedrooms. The owner was lovely and very welcoming. We had a parking space right outside our apartment. We were given complimentary tickets to visit the cliffs which were in walking distance and absolutely worth the visit. I would definitely stay here again.

This is a nice self-catering spot. It's attached to a house but the occupant(s) of the house were very quiet. Nice bathroom, good kitchen, comfortable bed, and a couch that can be used for additional guests. The sweet white and tabby cats were a nice added bonus as I was starting to miss my own. The other neighbors were curious about the new guest but weren't quite as open to new friends as the cats :)

Portmagee was fine and I booked The Ferry Boat because it was central for walking everywhere. But when I arrived, having booked several months in advance, I was told I'd been moved to inferior accommodation miles away and with no reduction in price.

The Fishermans Bar was a great place to eat and the parking in Port Magee is free and available. We visited the Kerry Ciffs Experience which was lovely and explored Valentia Island including Geokaum Mountain, the Tetrapod footprints and went across on the ferry to Cahersaveen. We had a boat tour out around the Skelligs but booked this months in advance as its very popular.

Portmagee was wonderful and picturesque.

Portmagee was wonderful and picturesque. We took a jaunt out to Valencia Island and caught a rainbow looking back over Portmagee. In early May, food options were limited and the pub life was not remarkable - but the town itself is quite nice.

Small village with some lovely eateries. We ate at The Fishermans Bar. Super friendly and food was excellent. Views are amazing. Visited the Kerry Cliffs which were spectacular. Also drove across to Valencia Island for a quick visit.

Lots to do and see!

Lots to do and see! If thing I would suggest if it's raining or cloudy at all don't go to sea!! We went to the Skelligs. €295 for 5 of us, couldn't see much! Disappointing to say the least! The Skellig Museum on Valentia island across the bridge was surprisingly very good. It looks funny outside & we didn't rate it much! The back of it is what you see first! The take away on the pier was disappointing. Fish & chips wasn't what you'd think it would be beside the sea. The food in both local pubs fabulous. Best to book the Moorings for evening meals. It's very busy. Kerry cliffs well worth seeing also.

I was only in Portmagee for one day for a boat trip to...

I was only in Portmagee for one day for a boat trip to Skellig Michael. It was ideal for that purpose as boats depart from the port in town. There were several small restaurants in town but they filled up when I was there. I'd recommend making reservations.

Spacious room, comfortable beds, kettle and fridge for groceries. The best shower pressure and the best bathroom ever in Ireland (we stayed in seven places). The ideal location of the cottage (all tourist destinations in Portmagee and Cahersiveen are wonderfully achievable by car/bike). The owners were very kind and helpful to us. Helped with everything we asked for.

The accommodation is in a great location with a lovely view of Portmagee and is within easy walking distance of Portmagee as well. We chose this spot as we were booked to do a Skellig Islands tour the next day and the accommodation is closely located to the marina. The accommodation has a separate living room that includes a small kitchen.

Stunning location and scenery. Modern facilities with everything needed for our stay. Our host went out of her way to make sure we had everything we needed, including contacting a local taxi company. Be sure to visit the Royal Hotel for good food and drink.

Paula was so helpful and accommodating, we had a great stay here! Had a lovely meal in Portmagee, and there were so many sightseeing spots nearby like the Kerry Cliffs, which were amazing. Highly recommend!
