The whole place has a magical forest vibe. You’re surrounded by greenery and the sound of the falls in the distance. So peaceful and refreshing — exactly what you want in Athirapilly. Loved that we got a private cottage instead of a regular hotel room. Spacious, beautifully done up, and felt very exclusive. Great privacy for couples and families. Staff were genuinely warm and went out of their way. Check-in was smooth, they helped plan our waterfall trip, and service was quick without being intrusive. Felt very cared for. The private pool with our cottage was the highlight. Clean, well-maintained, and perfect for a relaxed evening dip surrounded by trees. Total luxury. Beautiful property, great food, and top-notch service. Would happily recommend this place for a stay near Athirappilly Falls.

Sibin and his wife gave us the warmest welcome, making us feel right at home. Our stay was incredibly comfortable, and their hospitality was exceptional. They were kind, attentive, and always ready to help. They prepared delicious meals for us, my little one enjoyed the food so much that he asked me to get the recipe from Sibin's wife! I would definitely recommend this stay.

We stayed at Athirappilly Ambady Resort for one night with our family of 14 members, and it was a wonderful experience from start to finish. A special thanks to the reception staff, who were extremely kind, friendly, and helpful throughout our stay. They made us feel welcome and ensured that everything was taken care of. The rooms were spacious, neat, and very clean. The swimming pool was also well-maintained and clean, and there was ample parking space for our vehicles. One of the biggest highlights of this resort is its location. The river is just a short walk away, making it very convenient to enjoy a refreshing bath and return to the resort. The dinner and breakfast were specially prepared according to our preferences, and the food was absolutely delicious. We truly appreciated the effort the team put into making our meals enjoyable. The quality, taste, and hospitality were outstanding. Overall, our entire family had a fantastic stay. I would 100% recommend Athirappilly Ambady Resort to anyone visiting with family or friends. Thank you to the reception staff and the entire team for your warm hospitality and for making our stay so comfortable and memorable. It was truly a 10/10 experience, and we look forward to staying here again in the future.

I loved the place even though we went during the hottest...

I loved the place even though we went during the hottest summer of India in May 2026. I think the place would look like a dream during the monsoon and would be lovely even in winter. Thankfully it rained in the evening on both the days we stayed and that cooled it down in the evening and early morning. We reached at around 4:30 in the evening. We had the whole day next day to explore and next morning we left. We went on a self-drive in the forests and it was lovely - spotted peacock, sambhar deer and even an elephant in the wild. Also spotted some rate species of squirrel you see here. Must visit: Athirapally falls, Vazhachal falls, Hanging Bridge and butterfly garden near Thumboormuzhy Dam On an extended visit you could drive to Valparai and also enjoy some theme parks with kids

The area is beautiful, don't get me wrong.

The area is beautiful, don't get me wrong. It is very very distant however, with complete lack of services. Don't expect pharmacies, selection of restaurants or even a large variety of activities. We visited dead in the middle of winter, but the heat and humidity make it virtually impossible for any sort of hiking or other extended physical activities. There's enough to do and see for one night, don't stay longer.
