3 Nights stay in Badami.

3 Nights stay in Badami. First day was more of travel from Bangalore to Badami via Hampi. Pattadakal and Aihole - takes one full day. Badami was one complete day. Caves, Fort, Agasthya Lake requires a day to see peacefully.

This is a heritage location which was capital of Chalukya...

This is a heritage location which was capital of Chalukya Kings. There are cave temples with good sculptures, a man made lake knowtn as Agastya Lake, two temples on the banks of the lake viz., Bhootnath Temple and Mallikarjuna Temple. There were ruins of a fort with some temples etc on a nearby hhll

The Temple complex as well as the Badami Caves were well...

The Temple complex as well as the Badami Caves were well maintained & clean. The museum had a good display of artefacts with explanations. Banashankari was spiritual. Small roadside food stalls had good tasty local food. Overall very good experience.

Its a small village with a lot of ancient relics and rock...

Its a small village with a lot of ancient relics and rock climbing activity. There is not much to explore food wise but the relics in Badami and around area can easily take up 2-3 days. I was lucky to visit this place and enjoy the beauty

BADAMI is an EXCELLENT place to visit of HISTORICAL...

BADAMI is an EXCELLENT place to visit of HISTORICAL IMPORTANCE. The ROCK CUT GARDENS are an absolute ARCHITECHTURAL and SCULPTURAL MARVEL and a MUST WATCH!! However, PLEASE DO NOT STAY in KUSUM SHETTAR RESORTS!! HOOLIGANISTIC and ROWDY LIKE BEHAVIOUR of the MD himself!! We were VERBALLY ABUSED and ASKED TO GET OUT of the resort at 11:00 PM in the NIGHT, ALONG WITH FAMILY, CHILDREN and AGED MOTHER!! All this for what - bringing a discrepancy in their booking system to their notice. The PICTURES on your WEBSITE depict ONLY COTTAGES and hence WE BOOKED FOR COTTAGES ( Description below the photos read as Delux Rooms with pricing ). However, when we go there we were given ONLY NORMAL ROOMS at the Delux rooms pricing. NO COTTAGES. ROOM WAS NOT READY WHEN ARRIVED. ROOM SERVICE WAS NOT AVAILABLE TILL 0700 PM IST. Even EXTA WATER TO DRINK was not given and WE WERE ASKED TO PAY!! NO SOAP KEPT IN THE BATHROOMS!! The list goes on... DO YOU CALL THIS A 'DELUX ROOM' SERVICE??? When questioned THE MD GOT ANGRY and STARTED ABUSING US!! Gave VERBAL THREATS and CAME CLOSE and WAS ABOUT TO HIT US PHYSICALLY!!! That too the MD HIMSELF! Do you call this a PROFESSIONAL BEHAVIOUR?? PLEASE BLACLIST THIS PROPERTY FROM YOUR LISTING IMMEDIATELY!! Else YOU WILL LOOSE YOUR REPUTATION IN THE MARKET!!

Small bustling town with very friendly people, gorgeous...

Small bustling town with very friendly people, gorgeous views, a lovely lake and amazing temples. I particularly enjoyed observing everyday rural Indian life. Excellent food at Hotel Paradise family restaurant.
