Crazy Stay truly lived up to its name in the most wonderful way. My time there was marked by comfort and ease, thanks to the generously sized, impeccably maintained, and spotlessly clean rooms. Every fundamental need was anticipated and met, while the location itself offered a vista of pure magic, particularly at dawn when the sunrise unfolded like a masterpiece, unfurling from behind the distant mountain range. Beyond the captivating scenery, the home-cooked meals were a genuine delight. Both breakfast and dinner were incredibly delicious, a testament to the care and flavor infused into every dish. If your heart yearns for peaceful repose, genuine warmth, and the comforting taste of home, look no further. Mr. Basavesh extended a kindness that transcended mere hospitality, embracing this solo rider with the care of family. The entire experience, including the delectable food, was an absolute value. A return visit to Chikmagalur would be incomplete without another stay at this gem.

The location and architecture. The place is superbly designed, amongst lovely trees, so peaceful and quiet. The food is outstanding. Chandrika is a master cook. On request, she packed one of her great chicken dishes to savour at home. Eeeresh is so attentive, warm and polite.

Visiting Chikmagaluru and staying in a coffee estate during rains is enjoyable, especially visiting places like Mullayanagiri, Jhari falls etc, give a feeling of adventure by walking thro the misty clouds in chilly strong wind and drizzle. But one must have a liking for a quite, isolated place within forest like surroundings

Chikkamagaluru is a great place to visit during the winter...

Chikkamagaluru is a great place to visit during the winter and monsoon seasons. We went in the summer this time, and some places were hot and not so pleasant. But I enjoyed other places, like waterfalls and the city's local bazaar. Places like Mullayanagiri and Jhari falls require jeep hiring at the last mile, which is available in plenty, so plan accordingly. Also, book an online ticket from the government website to visit all the places.

The town has a relaxed, laid-back vibe and is a great destination for nature lovers, with scenic trekking trails, viewpoints, waterfalls, and peaks that make exploration rewarding. The places of interest we visited offered beautiful landscapes and peaceful surroundings, making the overall experience refreshing. That said, the terrain and trekking options can be physically demanding and may be challenging for younger children. Additionally, basic amenities—especially hygienic restrooms—are limited at many tourist spots, which can be inconvenient for families. Overall, it’s a charming, slow-paced town best enjoyed for its natural beauty and outdoor experiences, with some planning needed when traveling with kids.

Our group enjoyed the stay of three nights at Memories of...

Our group enjoyed the stay of three nights at Memories of Malnad. The climate was just right and we could visit most of the scenic places and waterfalls. The famous Sringeri and Annapoorneshwari temples though are little away. The mullyangiri peak view from our room and the sunrise was really awesome. On the food front, the complimentary breakfast was relishing. I feel the dinner menu though can be expanded a little.
