Our room was fabulous, location excellent for walking to the beaches and many nearby shops and restaurants. We only ate at the hotel ou food was beyond excellent. They specifically ordered us 2 pomfet fish and prepared them exactly to our taste to perfection. The staff welcomed us and interacted with us making us laugh daily!! Wow we totally enjoyed our stay.... actually now we're in Jaipur missing and still laughing about the awesome guys at the Meritas Auberge hotel Calangute. We highly recommend this hotel for your stay in Goa. The beach was beautiful and we felt comfortable wearing our bathing suits.We have never had so much fun interacting with such a fun bunch of good humans!! This is the third time we have stayed at this hotel, and each time is just as great as the last. The rooms are really clean and comfortable (if you've traveled to Goa before then you will probably know that many hotels leave much to be desired). The staff are extremely helpful, friendly and accommodating - and it's lovely that they remember us from previous stays. There is daily room service. It is located somewhere that is central, but away from noise, is within a very short walk to Calungute Beach in one direction, and a very short walk to the main road. I highly recommend!

Centrally located in Calangute. Access to everything nearby - the beach, restaurants, shops, cafes, taxis, etc. However the hotel's ideally located on a quiet street. Cleanliness is key - house cleaning provided daily. They provide water bottles every day. The rooms are air conditioned room, spacious with comfortable beds. There is a restaurant that gives breakfast a la carte; as well as dinner. Nice meals at reasonable rates. The host, Simon is friendly and attends to your every need. This is the perfect stay for a solo traveler like me.
