We were in Kota to attend a wedding.
We were in Kota to attend a wedding. Since it was a weekend, decided to stay over and explore. Loved the city, especially the waterfront. Absolute gem. Had not heard of it. I would definetely recommend Kota for a weekend getaway from Delhi NCR, especially now that it is only 5-6 hrs on the Mumbai Expressway.

Unfortunately, Kota was a stop on our way to Udaipur and because we had limited time we didn't get to see anything really of Kota. The city itself looked relatively clean and tidy. And should we visit the area next time we certainly would stay more nights and at stay at Umed Bhawan Palace, and walk around the garden with the peacocks!

Kota seems to be gearing up to become the next big Rajasthani thing. The area around the bus station has got a pretty pink facelift. A 3km long Ghat area on both sides of the river is in the making, nearly finished. It looks stunning. A new park is nearly finished but not open yet. You can get a bird's eye view from the bridge. Intriguing sculptures are to be found in all the roundabouts. 7 wonders park is open and well worth a look. Add to that an incredible, not yet touristy or overpriced, City Palace and much more. A very rewarding place to visit. And many travellers are passing through anyway, changing bus to go to Bundi.

It has a single wide road through town.
It has a single wide road through town. City is known for Education Institutes for IT industry. Everything here has a shady purpose. Sends its students as a Emigration flood to the West. Restaurants are useless, food unclean. Area has bad people. Good for an auto ride through town.

Beautiful city. Good place to spend family time. Presently all roads are under construction but well managed traffic, not leading to traffic congestion. Swiggy has made the stay more enjoyable. One can enjoy different cuisines from comfort of your room.

Beautiful house, almost everything was perfect, except for one thing that dampened my enjoyment. I was planning to visit a nature reserve (valley with a waterfall) 40 km away. After inquiring beforehand, the reception confirmed that everything was accessible. Upon arrival, I was stopped at the entrance by forestry officials. They told me the access was closed. I had to accept it, so I had been given incorrect information. My only option was to return home. No apology or compensation from the hotel.

Even After Asking For Room Cleaning, No One Came For Room Cleaning Whole Day
The Guys At The Ground Floor Are Always Arguing That You Can't Do This You Can't Do That But No Services Are Provided
If You Traveling With Family, I Highly Recommend DON'T Chose This Hotel, The Staff Is Extremely Unprofessional And They Don't Deserve Your Money
It's Better To Pay A Liitle More Amount And Choose A Good Hotel

Very good location, right on the highway from kota to Ujjain or Bhopal. Food quality is good and so is the spread during the breakfast. Room size and view was very good. VFM.
