Horrible property. 1. There were no security guards. This property is in forest area, dogs at mid-night were barking for nearly 2-3 hours. It almost felt, they were about to come inside. We locked in everything 2. Just 1-2 staff. We are paying so much and the person refused to cook lunch saying he had no time. 3. During dinner also, he kept saying food is limited though we paid for buffet Horrible experience. No amenities at property . Just high price by Saffron stays with 0 experience.

The economy of Matheran primarily depends upon tourism. The collection of entry fee (Rs. 50/- per tourist is good enough to improve the approaches to the view points. The No. of tourist visiting each year ( App 5 lakh per year only by Heritage toy train) can be facilitated with better infrastructure with same resources.

Our recent stay at Ved Resort in a Standard Double Room,...

Our recent stay at Ved Resort in a Standard Double Room, arranged through NSD Hospitality Resorts & Villas, was a very enjoyable family break. The room was tidy, comfortable, and well prepared when we arrived. It gave us a simple and relaxed space to settle in after the drive and made the overall stay easy and comfortable. One thing our kids really loved was the small garden play area for children. They spent quite a bit of time there and also enjoyed the game zone activities around the property. It was nice to see them engaged and having fun without needing to leave the resort. Meals at the resort were very satisfying. The food was fresh, well cooked, and had good variety, which added a lot to the overall experience. The staff was courteous and attentive whenever we needed assistance, and the arrangements made through NSD Hospitality Resorts & Villas were handled smoothly from start to finish. Ved Resort worked well for a relaxed family getaway.

Station and market area are too dirty and highly polluted How ever when you start moving to other places it is very butiful Don't miss Garbeet and panorama point, not many tourists visit here so they are clean and you will be very aligned to nature through forest walk In these places you will hardly see any one else however don't get scared matheran is very safe place in our experience

Matheran is much much better than any other hill station.

Matheran is much much better than any other hill station. The food, the climate, everything is awesome about matheran. The only negative point would be horse dung which is literally all over the place.

Matheran was a peaceful and scenic escape!

Matheran was a peaceful and scenic escape! We loved visiting all the points like Panorama Point, Echo Point, Charlotte Lake etc.—perfect for nature lovers. Getting around is easy since vehicles aren’t allowed; walking and horse rides add to the charm. We enjoyed simple, tasty meals. For groups of friends, trekking, and views are great fun. Tips for first-time visitors: - Wear comfortable shoes for walking and rain coat. - Carry cash, as digital payments may not work everywhere. - Book accommodations in advance, especially foreigners take clearance from police station. - Start early to catch the best views and avoid crowds. - Monsoon is the best time to visit

Matheran is a very unique and nice hill station.

Matheran is a very unique and nice hill station. I would surely come here again and again because of its proximity. The stay which I chose was Radha Cottage and it was a lovely place. Completely in the forest area and top notch service. If you want a luxurious experience in Matheran then stay at Radha Cottage Heritage Resort only!
