This is truly a gem of a valley. The roads that lead to it are difficult but they lead to one of the most beautiful places on earth. Every second of my time here was incredible, the sun rising on the snow capped mountains, the early morning bird songs, the sound of the river flowing...acres and acres of green land....I had to pinch myself that it was all real. Next time I'm going to spend a week here just soaking in the majestic views. It was the most peaceful trip of my life! And when you visit the old monastery do go to the adjacent museum, it has a detailed history of mechuka and the local tribes and the history of the spread of Buddhism, I loved that visit.
