I truly enjoyed my stay at Bharja Inn.

I truly enjoyed my stay at Bharja Inn. Amit and his wonderful family looked after me very well. Feeding me delicious vegetarian food and giving me local recommendations of places to eat and sites to see. Amit even took me out on his bike for a tour of the wider area. Kelashi is a charming village with beautiful surroundings, lots of and nature and coconut trees, and a very mystical beach.

Overall, it’s a destination that combines tranquility with rich experiences.

Calm , Peaceful place, - Bhatye Beach area, however only for those who prefer calm and peaceful village lifestyle, no rush, prefer walking, and love the rains, living in forest life, birds, insects, prefer simple food, want to breathe fresh air, basic needs, flexible and adaptable to such living . Beach is 15 min walk . You may not find hotels near by, but people are kind enough to serve home made food, at reasonable rate, you need to check with the local small shops who serve packed chips, water biscuits etc

A beautiful city with nice people.

A beautiful city with nice people. It has a lot of history and cultural significance with a few museums. The public transport needs some serious improvement.. the buses are there but they are in bad shape. The food is great whether you are vegetarian or prefer sea food. Restaurants are modest but serve good food and at a reasonable price. The main beach in the city is very dirty it needs better maintenance. The new pier is a must visit for a great sunset view. Don't forget the mangoes if you visit during summer.

We had booked at Gayathri home stay for 2 nights but moved...

We had booked at Gayathri home stay for 2 nights but moved out to Chitara Residency the next day which is too good, clean & excellent staff. We are frequent travellers to Ratnagiri & would say it's a nice place to visit & has lot of attractions. We have visited Thiba point & palace, Bhatye beach & lot more places. Sea food is our favourite there. We had our own vehicle so was easy to move around. I will avoid staying at Gayathri home stay

For people with their own vehicle this place is ideal.

For people with their own vehicle this place is ideal. The garden surrounding the property is well maintained. All rooms are sea facing. This resort is good for all ages. Hire a local transport to see places around. 2-3 nights stay can cover most of it.
