We had a wonderful stay at Moksham Hotel in Tapovan, Rishikesh! The staff were incredibly kind, helpful, and attentive — always ready to assist with a smile. We had a wonderful stay at Yog Niketan. The view from the property was absolutely stunning—calming, scenic, and exactly what you hope for in Rishikesh. Stayed at Sitara Premium recently and honestly didn’t expect this level of quality. It’s a new hotel, but everything feels premium. What I loved: • Rooms: Brand new, spotless, and the aesthetics are genuinely beautiful. Modern design, comfortable bedding, no wear-and-tear. • Cleanliness: 10/10. Room, bathrooms, lobby — everything was immaculate. • Staff: Extremely courteous and professional. A special mention to Mohit at reception — he’s a true all-rounder and handled everything so courteously from check-in to every small request. The whole team made us feel welcome. • Location: Prime location, yet surprisingly quiet. Plus they have on-site parking, which is a huge relief in this area. For a new property, they’ve nailed the basics and the details. Highly recommend Sitara Premium if you’re visiting Rishikesh. Will definitely stay again.

Although the traffic was chaotic, the views were breathtaking and the amenities around the town excellent. Our children enjoyed the waterfall, the swimming pool, stone-painting classes, t-shirt painting classes, the temples, shopping in Dehradun, and the many excellent restaurants. For a tourist hotspot, we were surprised at the reasonable prices. We did wish there were a few more souvenir shops, although the painting classes did provide us with a few memorable items. We would definitely recommend Rishikesh but definitely not our hotel: there are numerous alternatives.

1. Beatles Ashram is under construction and nothing there to visit but still they are selling their tickets cost @ INR 400/- per person. 2. You can hire a bike for full day @ INR 500 to 800/- and travel at your own. 3. Avoid weekends, as there will be very crowded. 4. Overall a nice place.

I think the city needs to control the influx of tourists.

I think the city needs to control the influx of tourists. It doesn't have the infrastructure to handle the volume of tourist during the peak season. It was very dirty in most places specially nearly the ghats, unruly traffic, no traffic police in view. The sanctity and beauty of the place is at stake.

Good surroundings. Good people. Couple Friendly despite a religious city in ultra communal time. Food was good in most of the restaurant. Coffee was fantastic if you don't hesitate to pay good money! Be careful if you are taking a bike/scooty on rent. Supervise whole scooty, especially engine silencer and other hidden damage parts ( mine has a crack in silencer which become a nightmare for me and I wasted 3 hours to repair it and 300 ). Make a video to avoid any issue in refundable deposit. Pay not more than 400 per day for this!

Definitely a recommended place and budget friendly place for your stay in Rishikesh. The rooms are very clean, comfortable and the view is mind-blowing. Staff are very friendly and they accommodate most of your requests, no complaints. Do meet these fellows (David, Rahul, Kumar and Rahul) they are very helpful and knowledgeable about surrounding places. Awesome Location it's close to little Buddha cafe, freedom cafe, ram jhula, lakshman jhula, other places and peaceful hotel to enjoy your lonely time by the Ganges.

This property is well located in Rishikesh. It is a short walk to Laxman Jhula bridge and the shops around that location. The beds are reasonably comfortable although the pillows are lumpy. The breakfast is reasonable but nothing to rave about. The hotel will organise taxi pick ups from the airport or drops in Delhi.
