Turtok is a little agrarian village in the Baltistan region...

Turtok is a little agrarian village in the Baltistan region of Ladakh. Just a few kilometers from the POK border and the LoC, it is one of the four villages that India took from Pakistan in the 1971 war. The LoC has a viewing point where you can peer into POK using binoculars provided by the locals (for a small fee). Turtok has several eateries and cafes providing local, Indian and "chinese" food.
