This hotel was so nice! Our kids loved the pool. I loved the sunny balcony that allowed me to dry clothes, which was very appreciated. The staff went above and beyond to help us and the breakfast was the best we’ve had so far!

Didn’t really use Altopascio itself much except for the train station but it is a brilliant jump off spot for trains to Florence, Lucca and the coast and the country location of the property among vineyards was relaxing and magical!

The great thing about Altopascio is that it is close enough...

The great thing about Altopascio is that it is close enough to be able to do many day trips. Within an hour from Altopascio you can get to Cinque Terre (La Spezia specifically), you can go to Pisa, Florence and even San Gimignano, a beautiful borgo town

We loved the charm and scope of the villa and found its proximity to the train station great. We were a 15 minute walk to supermarkets and a 5 minute walk into town to get morning pastries. It was easy to catch trains from Pisa airport and then into Lucca for dinner if we wished. The mosquitos do descend come evening but we found the enclosed marquee did protect us (alongside some bug spray) so this meant we could still sit out in the evening.

Clean, spacious and well equipped apartment on three levels, with parking space just in front, at about half an hour by car from Pisa and Lucca and less than an hour from Florence. The host was very attentive and helpful and waited for us with water, wine, beer, coffee, bread and sweets

The hotel was ideally located. The person responsible was extremely kind and helpful. The room was sober but with what you need. The breakfast was good and diversified, although not that much salty choices for my personal opinion, but there was.

Good communication with host. Great location. Spacious apartment in old building. Clean and well equipped kitchen. The apartment is in the same Piazza as the well known restaurant La Magione dei Cavalieri, food there is excellent.
