La Torre wine resort is located, the hamlet called Montecarlo situated on the hill which divides the Valdinievole area from Lucca plain, fit si told that the original name of Montecarlo was Vivinaia (wine street) related to the production of wine thanks to soil composition and to its geographical exposition. However the restricted size of the hill doesn’t allow large mass production so for this reason it’s necessary to produce high quality wines only. Fattoria la Torre belongs to the prestigious association Grandi Cru della Costa Toscana, which is a local partnership of the best producers of the region. The farm boasts a very long tradition in the cultivation and marketing of its wines, but only with Celli family beginning from the 1994 its structure and its vineyards have been completely renovated. In particular niche grape variety have been chosen to distinguish its own production from the local qualities and from Chianti and Montalcino renowned producers.
