Very friendly staff. Nice big room and a very good restaurant. Reception is at the restaurant but it could be made a bit more clear (Now there is only a sign check-in at the parking space. I enjoyed my stay.

I had an absolutely wonderful experience at this property. It was exceptionally clean, very comfortable, and incredibly convenient. The owner was kind, attentive, and truly caring — you can tell they go above and beyond to make guests feel welcome. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a quality stay. I’d definitely return!

Location was perfect. It was central easy to park. We were giving a parking pass so parking was free. We were also given a free admission tour to the castle because we were guest at the apartment. All the rooms were very spacious. There was great outdoor space as well the owner was very friendly, and personally handed us the keys. Also, the owner gifted us with the bottle of local wine and olive oil made from their olives. The location is perfect for a day trips to Luca Pizza, etc. and the town is very charming.

This is a fabulous boutique hotel that if dont want a modern looking hotel this will bring you delight! The host is fantastic, warm and very helpful with making recommendations and bookings for you. She speak 6 languages, so you can always communicate! She will go out of her way to make your stay memorable. We will definitely back.

We loved everything about this resort. The pool was amazing. The restaurant was delicious. The unit was clean and cozy and the staff was wonderful. We also enjoyed going into Monte Carlo for dinner and breakfast they was a 5 minute drive. Would love to go back

Gorgeous hilltop village with great restaurants and a castle that you can visit with amazing views. We loved the fact that it wasn't too touristy and our trip coincided with the annual wine festival with lots of stalls and live music which we enjoyed.

It was quite special to stay in an ancient fortification...

It was quite special to stay in an ancient fortification stemming from the 1400's. The heir to this property gave us good historic background on the property. The unit is reasonable in size and was a comfortable size for 4 people although we were 6. The sleeper couch was not comfortable. The kitchen was very nice but it was not equipped to the standard of a true self catering unit. For the rest everything was just fine and we would advise anybody to come and stay here when visiting the area. The main bedroom bed was nice. The 2nd bedroom only had half walls. The little town is quaint and beautiful and worthwhile visiting

Montecarlo is an excellent village on a hilltop close to Lucca. The village is very lively in the evening, with many restaurants and bars. Unfortunately, like in many other locations where demand exceeds supply, we had some negative experiences with restaurant owners who were rude and not flexible with tourists. Fortunately, those were a few exceptions, while most restaurants were friendly and gentle.

This is a small quaint mountain village surrounded by a wall. Parking for visitors is outside the wall. There is an old fortress Rocca di Montecarlo which is privately owned and open to visitors on weekends only. The Teatro dei Rassicurati (Theatre of the Reassured) must be the tiniest theatre ever and has an interesting history. The staff of the Tourist Office have a key and you can go inside free of charge. The Main Street is Via Romana and from the small square you get wonderful views over the countryside. The bell of the tower chimes every hour and can be seen for miles around. There are plenty of eating places and we saw quite a few visitors, some had come by bicycle, and we even saw a bus tour. Olive groves and vineyards are a common sight.

The house was beautiful and perfectly furnished. Extremely spacious for all of our family, all 10 of us. The garden was extensive and made the stay so much better as we could chill outside and the kids could play in the pool. Paolo and his family went above and beyond to make our stay as special as possible. Sharing their wine, home grown fruit and running us to Montecarlo and the train station. We couldn’t have asked for anything more. This is a perfect place to stay for a quiet family relaxing holiday.

Fantastic location in an ancient fortification that was carefully restored by the heir and his family. The chalet has everything needed for a comfortable stay for a family of 4. The friendly proprietor surprised us with a free bottle of local red wine and shared some historic facts of Montecarlo. It is located in a quaint hill top town not too far from Lucca.

Very well managed hotel, very friendly. Parking our car before check-inn was no issue. Walking time to Montecarlo was 30 minutes. We slept well and would like to stay here again.
