This is a well maintained property centrally located with a nice view of the of the mountains. The staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was very good with a variety of choices. Many things to see and do within walking distance, train station near by. We would stay here again.

Incredible host, very nice and offered any help we needed. Very efficient communication throughout. The loft itself was very quaint and cozy, yet also spacious. The view was spectacular out the windows, very nice location. Short walk of about 10-15 min from the main train station. Would definitely book again!

Capital of the Italian Tyrol

Bolzano is one of those cases that are difficult to describe without risking undermining its beauty and complexity. A witness of the conflicts and renaissance of Europe, this Italian city is the capital of the German speaking province of South Tyrol. Located in the Adige River Valley, it is surrounded by hills crowned by castles, and framed by the Dolomites Alps.

After reaching the local railway station, follow the Bahnhofsallee or Viale della Stazione and you’ll reach Walther Square, where the beautiful Cathedral of the Assumption of Our Lady is located. It was a family visit and maybe we wouldn't have gone there otherwise. But we loved it. Very different to other places we have visited in Italy. Interesting places to visit nearby and in the town and lots of lovely places to eat.

Bolzano has a different, more sophisticated atmosphere to many holiday spots in in Europe. The old town was visually pleasing, with plenty of quality bars and restaurants. Otzi was a unique feature too. The hinterland was easily accessible and very pleasant.

this is an ideal city to stay for several days after hiking in Dolomites for relaxing. the guestpass is very convenient for tourists to go round. Great shops n restaurants in the city. Actually.there are many hiking trails round.Really enjoy staying in Bolzano.

A nice town with Austrian / German speaking and Italian...

A nice town with Austrian / German speaking and Italian influence which blend nicely. A must see is the museum, where "iceman" Oetzi is to be seen. We were also very surprised to see a beautiful chapel with early renaissance paintings all over (Dominikaner Kloster). The streets with arcades give shelter for heat or rain.

We would have stayed in the Dolomites but it was too expensive so we stayed in Bolzano - it was just ok but we had just come from very lovely places so it seemed not as clean of a city for the price. We didn’t eat there or see any sites so maybe this review is not fair.

Bolzano is a clean, orderly, and well-maintained city, which made it an easy stop during my road trip from Switzerland to Lake Garda. Getting around is simple, and everything feels efficient and well organized. That said, for my personal taste as an international traveller, I found the city to be quite understated and more functional than atmospheric or characterful. It may appeal more to visitors looking for a calm, quiet base rather than a destination with strong charm or vibrant energy.

This is very much a family-run hotel and it feels very warm and welcoming, for that reason. Rooms are simple but comfortable. The breakfasts were wonderful - lots of beautiful home-made tarts and jams. The position is superb - 5 minutes from the station and in the heart of the historic centre. Bolzano is a very attractive town with great food and a feeling of welcome from locals. We loved our stay.
