from the terrace, dining, and room were fantastic! The staff was incredible - kind and helpful! The food was also fantastic! Of the 7 places we stayed in Tuscany, this was by far our favorite place! The tiramisu, was the best we had in all the places we went!

ItalyMy stay at the Bottega d'Arte in Carrara was wonderful. I can't praise Corrado enough for all of his kindness and generosity. He made sure that I found my preferred breakfast foods daily and was always available for information and assistance as I became accustomed to the town. My room was beautiful with a view of the marble mountains, lovely antique furnishings, and spotless. The best part of my day was returning to my room after hours of carving marble at the studio. I found it safe, quiet and secure. Rosalia made sure that the bagno was fresh and the room was tidy each day. If you stay at the Bottega d'Arte, please also visit Corrado's downstairs antique shop. Enjoy viewing his collection of prints, paintings and sculpture. You will find it hard to leave without a treasure. I highly recommend this beautiful B&B for your next stay in Carrara.

Carrara is an absolutely unique place on the face of Earth. People are cutting marble mountains for two millennia. The city is very interesting in its history and arts. One can easily spend 4-5 days walking through streets and places. Several tour operators offer very exciting excursions into quarries.

We chose to visit Carrara primarily for its renowned marble quarries and vibrant sculpture scene. If you have an interest in these arts, Carrara certainly offers a rich experience. The city itself is bustling, focusing largely on the industry that revolves around marble. Aside from this, Carrara might not offer the typical tourist attractions. However, its coastal section presents a more traditional tourist experience with beautiful views and some leisure activities. For visitors whose interests align more with cultural and industrial heritage, especially related to marble and sculpting, Carrara is an exceptional destination. For others, it might require a bit more exploration to uncover its charms.

Gorgeous place with amazing views, quaint restaurants, tiny street shops and markets open on weekdays only.

Small but friendly town.
Small but friendly town. Please note that on Friday night all the restaurants in the center are reserved and none accepts that a tourist wants to have dinner at 8.30 pm. Even after looking around I couldn't find a single restaurant that would accept to serve me. Although they continue with empty tables waiting for reservations. Never again and be careful it's a beautiful city to see and leave in 2 hours.

My stay was one night only during May 2026 but I found it a great place to stay:
- Location in Carrara city centre, on a main piazza, close to the cathedral, river and some nice restaurants and cafes
- Host very supportive after my on-the-day booking
- Clear & helpful instructions via phone call and text
- Lovely place on first floor
- Amenities such as microwave, kettle & toiletries etc.
- A nice common area with tables and fridge
- Breakfast voucher for nearby cafe

The host was very helpful and kind, and keen to ensure thst I was comfortable, knew what to do if I locked myself out etc. He has created a beautiful B and B, the best I've ever stayed in. Superb taste and authenticity. I'd want to stay here again next time in Carrara. And I hope I can do a next time!
