The host was very quick and friendly when responding our messages. The beds are super comfortable and the apartment is super clean. Basic kitchen utensils are there too. Just 1 minute walk there is a little local bakery that sells amazing breakfast pastry. Parking is also easy just under the building. The location is perfect if you plan to go to both Cefalù and Palermo. If I have longer vacation around this area, I would consider staying longer than 2 nights.

In my experience, Casteldaccia was not an ideal place to stay. The streets are very narrow, which made driving stressful, and some drivers were speeding, so you have to be extra careful. There are better towns in the area that are closer to the beach and more convenient for visitors. Another downside was the noise. Early in the morning, local people often communicated by shouting across the street, which regularly disturbed our sleep. I have stayed in several places in Sicily, and I did not experience this level of early morning noise anywhere else.

This small city has all services you need - bakery, supermarket, ice cream and pastry shops, restaurants. Located close to the see. Located near the highway from where it's easy to travel to other major cities in Sicily. Not very accessible for strollers and wheelchairs because of the high curbs.

This was our first time in Sicily.

This was our first time in Sicily. Originally we had planned to stay in Palermo, but we chose Casteldaccia for budget reasons and because it seemed convenient. In the end, it gave us a much more authentic experience than we would have had in the city. Casteldaccia is not a touristy destination, but a quaint Sicilian town full of culture and tradition. Each morning we would pick up food for lunch and see the same friendly faces around town, including the gentlemen sitting on the benches in front of the church. After lunch the streets would grow quiet as everything shut down, but in the evenings the square came alive again with families, children riding bikes, and locals gathering for dinner. Later at night, teenagers stopped by for gelato, which we also enjoyed more than once. My favorite flavor was coffee, topped with fluffy whipped cream, and it paired perfectly with a slice of pizza beforehand. I loved exploring the small local shops. Some travelers might miss having big stores nearby, but I always found what I needed, and the absence of malls actually helped us stay on budget. The town beach was convenient, but we preferred exploring the coastline. Discovering hidden spots between Trabia and Altavilla was a highlight, and we even found a small, quiet beach that felt like our own private retreat. During our stay we also visited the Santa Rosalia caves and enjoyed a meal at a restaurant in the hills near Palermo. We tried local specialties like arancini, sfincione, anelletti pasta, and cremino coffee, all of which were delicious. Casteldaccia may not be glamorous, but it offers something better: a genuine Sicilian atmosphere, welcoming people, and the chance to slow down and enjoy local life.

It‘s for sure a great place for couples with a car in the summer. However, I was there in the winter without a car and I found myself trapped. You can only move from there by car or taxi. no reliable uber. No chance by walking! It‘s directly on a fast street with no side walk. it‘s too dangerous to walk. you can‘t walk nowhere. only a few hundred meters on the beach. many houses there are run down. also no restaurant, no supermarket. only delivery. if that doesnt bother you, Alessia is very helpful and responsive with organisation. The rooms are as nice as in the pictures and I found juice, yogurt and a nice base of things in the kitchen. It was very clean. The bed is super comfy and the heating worked. The sauna was a lot smaller than on the picture and heated slowly. the sea unfortunately was very dirty one day. the others were fine. the wifi wasnt strong enough in my room, rai play didnt work on the tv. sup and kayak were available for 10 eur per 90 minutes. sauna was free on the first day, othetwise 10 eur. Very kindly, I was offered free sauna on a second day. the pool was only warm on the first day. the host was very nice but I am leaving with mixed feelings.
