Excellent location with breathtaking view of the area. It is within a walking distance to the old town. The facility was very clean and the room well equipped. The bed was spacious and comfortable. The breakfast was succulent with lots of variety of food. Silvia the host was extremely friendly and helpful. The hotel is definitely recommended if you visit the area.

The breakfast was not huge. But it had cereals and Steven made us fried eggs and omelette to order, which was good enough for us. Adding some fruits would have been nice. The rooms are large, spotless with a large bathroom. A lot of thoughtful amenities like slippers, heated floors in the bathroom, fridge with complimentary drinks etc. Short distance from Cortona so lots of restaurants and shops.

Cortona is the perfect Tuscan town for a solo traveler like...

Cortona is the perfect Tuscan town for a solo traveler like myself who speaks some Italian, but mostly needs to speak English for day-to-day matters during a long (2 month) stay in a foreign country. The train station is nearby, rental cars only about 30 minutes away, shuttle bus service allows for train travel most of the day and even on weekends and access to the town for visitors is fairly easy. The town has a lot to offer, but is not so big as Montepulciano, for example, one can spend a full day exploring on foot and see most all of the sites. Outside the wall, one can explore even further. Market days and medieval events add to the charm, and the cost of living is very favorable. I would not change a thing!

Cortona is a beautiful, historic, medieval style walled Tuscan hilltop town. It has plenty of excellent restaurants, bars, gelaterias & quaint shops, with some more modern. There are museums, a Medici castle, parks, piazzas, & incredible views. It has a friendly atmosphere with evening entertainment & the townspeople are friendly. There are some steep streets to negotiate but everywhere is accessible & walkable for most.

We love Cortona and its Etruscan history and have visited...

We love Cortona and its Etruscan history and have visited many times. The views are wonderful and walking around the area that has limited motor vehicle access is great. There are a lot of very good restaurants and shops. You won't be disappointed.

The hotel was beautiful and breakfast was great. The attendant at the desk was very friendly and happy to provide us with a history of the hotel. An elevator would have been helpful as our luggage was quite heavy to get up the stairs.

Cortona is a great location for day tripping all that...

Cortona is a great location for day tripping all that Tuscany( Montepulciano, Assisi, Arezzo, Pienza, Sienna) has to offer. Parking can be a challenge, but the town itself is delight with many terrific resturants(La Bucaccia & Antica Trattoria) that cater to vistors. I could spend a month living in Cortona.

Amazing medieval city with beautiful architecture and a great atmosphere. We were there on the main holiday weekend of the year and it was very crowded. There was a food festival in the park, a photographic exhibition in various sites around the city and a band playing in the Teatro Piazza in the evening. The many churches are beautiful and there are restaurants to suit everybody - from gourmet to burgers. Never a dull moment for two days. Unfortunately it is not suitable for people with mobility problems because of the steep hills and cobbled streets.

We fell in love with the apartment and with Cortona of course. The apartment was amazing, one of the best we have been in Italy. It really made our staying enjoyable and even a bit luxurious. The apartment has magic! I think we have to come to visit Cortona again some day just to get to live those days in this apartment again. The roof terrace is amazing, everything is clean and every detail has made with a thought. Loved it!

Excellent hotel in Tuscany. We had an amazing time at Villa Schiatti and we enjoyed every minute. This was our second time visiting the Villa and for sure we will return soon. Alin and his staff were very friendly and helpful. Great customer service 10/10 The food is very delicious and service quality has been excellent. Various breakfast options.

Fantastic small villa for a family of 4 or 2 couples. Very quiet location in the countryside near Cortona with a view on the mountains. Ideal spot to go and check the central part of Tuscany. Villa has a great pool and garden. House is cosy, but has everything you need.
