We love Albergo Trattoria Italia. The service is very good. The rooms are good and clean. The restaurant had a wide choice of dishes in the menu, it’s a safe place and the workers are always helpful. we’re looking forward for going there again! It was a Nice experience!

Desenzano del Garda is an excellent destination, we loved it. It is a beautiful town with lovely walks along the lake and plenty of choice of restaurants and bars. It is also easy to get a boat to Sirmione which was a lovely day out.

The location of the apartment was very good and the lift was...

The location of the apartment was very good and the lift was excellent for old people like us(70 and 85). We were able to use a usb connector to obtain English programmes on the TV when the sun was too hot. The AC was capable for the +35 degrees heat. We made the mistake of going to a large supermarket on the first day and that was a long walk but we found a local shop that sold everything that we required. The restaurants were plentiful and good quality. The beach was not too far from the town centre and there was a snack bar and a restaurant located there. The restaurant in the middle of town was very accommodating and adjusted the menu for various sizes and age groups of patrons. The ferries gave good access to towns around the lake. The end of our visit was spoilt when the taxi provided charged us 32 euros to take us to the station whereas when we arrived we used a taxi from the rank and it was only 13 euros. I think he was taking us for a ride.

Busy virant town, lots of good resurants, those in the side...

Busy virant town, lots of good resurants, those in the side streets just off the main square usually provide the best selection and quality. If you like Opera check out Thursday nights at the Castle, during the season July - September.

Desenzano del Garda is one of the largest and most practical...

Desenzano del Garda is one of the largest and most practical towns on Lake Garda, but it's not necessarily the most picturesque. Less "storybook Italy" than Sirmione or Malcesine. More traffic and modern development. Many apartments are on busy roads behind the lakeside promenade, so listings advertising a "lake view" often have only a partial view across other buildings.

The transport links to the area were brilliant and only a 20 minute walk from the station to the beach area where our hotel was located. Beautiful area which was always clean and people extremely friendly. Beach is stoney, no sand but plenty of space. Just didn't have long enough in the area to explore further a field.

The lakeside town is lovely for an early spring of late fall visit. There numerous restaurants, tours available and train rides to other locations. Because of the heat and humidity, I would not visit in summer.

The hotel was really lovely.The room was huge with a big balcony.It was literally a 5 minute walk down the road from the train station and a 10 minute walk from desenzano centre.The staff were really friendly and helpful.Plenty of choice at breakfast.It had a swimming pool ,a gym,car parking if you hire a car (fab car rental place across the road from the hotel who were much cheaper than the other quotes we got)and you can leave your cases there after check in.They gave us great advice and places to visit

A great location, just a couple of minutes walk to the lake and to the restaurants and shops, and about 7 minutes to the ferry point. I'd booked a single room, but was given a large double - thank you :) It's quiet and traditional. The croissants at breakfast were delicious! Desenzano was the nicest of the towns I visited. If I come back again, I won't even look at other places to stay, Hotel Moniga was perfect.

Lovely three star hotel close to walking distance of Desenzano even though there is a large hill back up from the center to be mindful of! The price was great and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The pool was the standout area as it was super clean and quiet where we could relax and soak up some sun. Aircon worked perfectly in the room. We really enjoyed our stay!

This is a beautiful, small family run hotel in a quiet location a few minutes from the centre of Desenzano Del Garda. Sadly, I was unwell when we were here. The hotel staff were great and organised a local GP for me. My family enjoyed the delicious breakfast and the grounds, pool areas and bar facilities. A 10 for us and a hotel we would definitely stay in again.

The accommodation is located at the centre of Desenzano only few steps away from the water front. The staff at the hotel very friendly and allowed us to check in 3 hours prior the official check in time as the room was ready. Breakfast was also delicious.
