We’ve visited Italy many times and stayed in a variety of hotels and b&bs. We would rate the Scirocco o hotel amongst our top experiences … definitely the top now that we visit Italy for relaxation on beaches rather than cultural experiences. This hotel had the best combination of location (beachfront), accommodation including amenities, proximity to some of the best public beaches in Italy and restaurants in nearby communities. Our second room was bright, spacious and well laid out. The shower was spacious with plenty of water pressure and hot water (which is often lacking in Italy). Even though we speak no Italian, the staff, who spoke some English, always endeavoured to understand and accommodate our requests and questions. The young woman that cleaned our room did a remarkable job of keeping our room immaculately clean. The breakfast was served in a rooftop room or terrace (depending on weather). There was a great selection of pastries, fruit served with a fantastic endless view of the Ionian Sea.We fully intend to return next September for a longer stay.

Location charming, wide garden, new barbecue, new coffee...

Location charming, wide garden, new barbecue, new coffee machine, polite agency. Poor facilities overall, missing minimum cutlery, pans, washing machine. TV very old and not working, absence of Wi-Fi. Missing adaptors for European sockets. A/C only in the hallway and living room. Kitchen hood not working. Missing trash cans for differentiated waste collection. Only one set of keys given makes difficult manage for 6 guests. Frankly, I've been in better places for the same amount, with similar charming surroundings. Nearby one bar (Martinucci, not to miss!) one supermarket well supplied, one vegetable shop. For the rest you need a car to reach the closest town for other stuff.
