Maria and her parents were the perfect hosts and very responsive to any of our needs. The hotel location is breath taking with a wonderful view of the lake. The pool area also has a fabulous setting and it was an easy short walk to Gargnano too. I would recommend the hotel for all guests but especially for a romantic break in particular.

The staff is the nicest group of people I have ever met. We could eat the amazing breakfast they provided on the terrace where the view of the lake was 10/10. The room was clean and tidy with a comfortable bed. The pool is close by and very idyllic in the citrus garden surrounded by lots of beautiful flowers, plants, trees, etc.

We found the restaurant & cafes in the main ' town ' a little over priced and twice ate at the Bar Osteria Porto di Villa, at piazza Villa...on the way back towards Bogliaco (to find DH Lawrence house, British writer)... the churches in Gargnano were lovely though... and we highly recommend the fish restaurant in Bogliaco village, Trattoria Al Marinalo. Gargnano bus station has a nice bar/ cafe on the main road which was pleasant.

Small town surrounded by the mountains.

Small town surrounded by the mountains. It is perfect for bikers. Long rides including perfect uphills and mountains as well. The lake is just perfect for sailing, swimming, boating, windsurfing. Hiking is also a great possibility. Garda lake has a lot to offer. The water is colder on the norther side and warmer on the souther part.

We did not really explore Gargnano at all. All we did in this town outside our apartment was going to a nearby bar/restaurant for a quick coffee in the morning. It would be unfair for us to judge Gargnano based on our experience.

We stayed in Lago di Garda for a week (one day at a hotel, the rest at a friend's villa), and perhaps this review is somewhat negative because we were just coming from a 2-week vacation in Croatia, but Lago di Garda is a bit over-rated. Based on the unreliable local transportation system, one quickly gets the impression that people (middle-income or lower) without a car are not welcome. The scenery of this huge lake surrounded by mountains is very impressive and beautiful, however we were very turned off by the fact that there are snakes in the lake! To be fair, on the very populated beaches, there were none to be seen but as soon as you find yourself a less-populated area, you would see snakes swimming around. What we also did not like is that access to the lake is often obstructed due to the way construction was allowed to take place. From a budget perspective, the choice of restaurants is geared more towards the higher-end, which reflects the kind of people you see vacationing here. What I found annoying were the opening/closing times of shops and restaurants. Expect to have difficulty in finding a place to eat in case you want dinner before 7pm and watch out for automatic service charges. Based on observation, most locals are rather old and most foreigners are either German tourists or Germans who have bought property here. My impression was that this is the perfect location for people of a certain age wanting peace and quite in a sunny destination or couples wanting a secluded getaway. My brief rating would be "beautiful but boring"

The location was perfect; right in the middle of Gargnano and on the lake. The room was very quiet considering we were right in the middle of everything. We had a room on the 3rd floor with terrace and we had an incredible view. Air conditioning was an added bonus and essential as the weather got very hot. The breakfast room was also on the lake with an amazing view. Breakfast was included and a perfect start to our days at Lake Garda. All the staff we met were incredibly helpful.

Fantastic location beside Lake Garda, close to a small village with plenty of restaurants and bars. .A small hotel where we enjoyed a lovely breakfast on the balcony overlooking the lake. Good selection of breakfast options. We also ate dinner here which was delicious. Staff were all friendly and super efficient. Wonderful to wake up to a lake view each morning, the scenery here is spectacular. Room was a good size with plenty of storage and hanging space.

What a find. We only stayed one night at Dany Apartments, but it was exceptional. The unit was comfortable, the pool and spa were a real bonus, and the location was ideal just a 10‑minute walk to the Lake Garda shore, where we found excellent and very affordable restaurants. The views were fantastic and we wished we had booked a longer stay.
