We booked this hotel due to the proximity to the motorway as we were travelling home from Italy to UK via car with our dog. We arrived quite late but the village looked amazing even at night, there was a little bar over the road so we went for a couple of drinks. Upon arrival the staff were wonderful, the owner was waiting outside to greet us and made a fuss of our dog. The hotel vibe is boutique and quirky ( in a very good way ). The standard of design and decor was beautiful and after a good nights sleep we had a lovely breakfast before heading back on the road. We woke to a beautiful view as the hotel is quite high up in the hills. Highly Recommended.

The place is fabulous, as is the hostess. Everything was comfortable, and extravagantly so. The multi-talented hostess prepared and served us an outstanding breakfast. Most importantly, she is a people person who takes great interest in her guests, and also a highly accomplished artist and restorer of antiques. She has fully restored the historic house into a villa which is lavishly furnished and decorated with her pastels and paintings as well as her restored antiques.

One of the best and most hospitable host i have ever encountered. The place is nicely decorated, boutique like home. Sparking water, wine, beer, cookies welcome you to Camelia. It was the first time in Italy I felt i was at home & not at a hotel or B&B. There a home restaurant cooked by a wonderful chef in the same area that is a must. Book early or ask for the meal to be delivered to you. Definitely a hidden gem !
