Guardia Sanframondi is a small town (less than 5,000).

Guardia Sanframondi is a small town (less than 5,000). The appeal isn’t in the town itself, but its central location allowing for day trips to very desirable places. We took trips to the Royal Palace of Caserta, Termoli, a fishing town on the Adriatic Coast, and Pompeii/Vesuvius during our short time there. The Amalfi Coast is also a possible day trip but we decided to do that the day we left as we were staying in Naples that night to catch an early flight the following morning. Naples would also make a reasonable day trip. All of these are within one to two hour drive and you have the benefit of staying in very reasonably priced accommodations in Guardia Sanframondi.
