Great, cauzy, heart-welcoming hotel with kind and welcoming stuff, family atmosphere and great location. Spa was superb and relaxing and we could enjoy it almost only by ourselves because of pre-season period 😇 Excellent breakfast, nice playroom (with snooker and hand-football), covered garage, easy walk to main gondola in La Thuile. Great Dahu pizzeria is next door 😎 A-priori - we were also pleasantly surprised by the fact that the hotel uses geothermal energy for heating: The Hotel Boton d’Or is the first hotel in the Aosta Valley to use a geothermal heating system: thanks to 30 water sources developed at a depth of 150m. below the hotel, the temperature of the earth is transformed into heating and hot water.

La Thuile is a very nice place to ski, connected to La...

La Thuile is a very nice place to ski, connected to La Rosiere in France, offering a wide range of slopes - plenty of variety for a week on the snow. The local cuisine is excellent, the people are charming, and the altitude is 1400m at the base and approximately 3000m at the top. The town is quaint and low key. Courmayeur is a 30 minute drive away if you want to visit. On the mountain, some of the ski lifts are older, but they have been modernizing and this trend should continue. On a pretty day, you can ski down to France and have a galette au saumon for lunch and make it back in time for ravioli alla valdostana in Italy.

La Thuile is a beautiful, quiet and family-friendly village.

La Thuile is a beautiful, quiet and family-friendly village. I visited with my girlfriend, so I didn't go looking for too many Après-Skis. Everything is relatively close and there are some good restaurants. Some of the ski lifts could have been more up-to-date, but nothing negative.

La Thuile is a quiet resort with a decent number of good...

La Thuile is a quiet resort with a decent number of good restaurants and nice shops selling local produce. The ski area is fantastic and the fact that you can ski into La Rosiere and it's ski area is brilliant. Although we didn't take advantage of it, the general Aosta valley areas are linked up and you can use a six day ski pass in specified other ski areas in the valley for two of those days, so there's a lot of variety. I'm also told that your ski pass gets you on to the ski bus services, and the Mont Blanc Skyway cable car (though I believe the cable car uses both of your 'non LaThuile' day passes - but it's a huge saving. It's super easy to get to by car from Turin, the atmosphere in the village is nice, the mountain bars and restaurants are good and reasonably priced. I'd go back again for sure.

Beautiful village, close to the ski slopes , a handy free bus very close to the hotel we stayed in, plenty of restaurants nearby, a fabulous chocolate shop, a supermarket selling essentials friendly locals everywhere, loads of different activities and options for relaxation.

The large kitchen / dining room and Tiziana’s willingness to resolve teething issues we had with the property. The apartment was only 10-15 minutes walk to Berthod ski hire, where we left our skis and boots after each day of skiing. Well worth paying the money, to save walking in ski boots. The apartment was right next to Lo Tata restaurant, which was superb with amazing & very friendly staff.

Friendly, helpful welcome from Sarteur. Lovely views to the rear. Comfortable bed, large bathroom, strong shower, plenty of storage room, and easy walk to La Thuile centre, and with a free ski- bus stop outside. Ideal for a couple for a few days. Didn't use ski storage room as we had the car and brought boots into the apartment overnight so don't know if there are any boot-driers.
