The property was extremely well kept and clean, very comfortable and cozy. The owners make you feel right at home. This location is just over a mile away from the water front and the walk back to the hotel is up a steady incline. It’s quite the workout, which we did not mind but some people may not be prepared for this. If you don’t have a car and are not looking for an intense climb back, consider staying closer to the water front. However, this hotel was amazing. We had the most incredible view. Breakfast and dinners were excellent. The owners are fantastic.

Everything was wonderful - so much space compared to a hotel room. These are recently renovated apartments and the high quality finishes of the materials is evident yet the old world feel of the place is still there. The stairs that leads up to the apartments is most likely the orignal stone that was there previously which has all been cleaned up and reinstated. We stayed in Apartment 2 (a one bed apartment) and I would recommend this one simply for the thin balcony off the apartment at the front of the building. A nice surprise (as it was 34C when we were there) is the air conditioned shared space that greets you when you enter the hallway. Air con is provided in the apartments also that you can control yourself, but we found by following the suggestions for keeping the apartment cool we did not need to use the air con at all during our week long stay. Sofa in the living area converts to a bed and the clothes racks/storgage off the bedroom is fantastic - there has been some great use of space in the planning of these rooms. The shared laundry room is also fantastic - works on a trust system (leave €5 for using the facilities) but laundry detergent and clothes airers and pegs are provided for your use so well worth the cost. Parking facilities can be provided on request at extra cost but are well worth the fee - parking spaces are individual fully secured spaces in an underground (out of the heat) location about 2 minutes (120m) walk from the front door of the apartment.

This accommodation was superb. Everything was absolutely perfect. I would highly recommend you stay here. The host Ciara was exceptionally friendly and so so accommodating. The view was amazing. The breakfast was really good. The terrace with loungers and umbrellas and the jacuzzi were a wonderful added bonus. Some reviews mention the walk to town - we are in our late 60’s and for us it was no problem (15/20 minutes) and quite scenic. If you have a car it’s absolutely no problem to drive and park in town (we were there in late September). Menaggio is a lovely town and we found it to be a perfect place to explore locally or ferry to other towns on Lake Como. We loved our stay. Thank you Ciara - we would love to return and will definitely recommend you to our friends.

Menaggio is lovely, lots of options for restaurants and most nights something was happening in the square (free music etc). The ferry point is a 5 minute walk away and there are lots of places to go swimming

Good base and with a character of its own.

Good base and with a character of its own. Clean and friendly. Good food. Quieter than Bellagio which we visited directly by ferry. Got to travel to Lugano in Switzerland by public bus to very easily. Negative is limited options to swim in lake without paying £££

Stunning place - we loved it and Varenna - preferred over Como and Bellagio. We just wished they put ferries on every 30 minutes not hourly for all destinations because it really impacts the time you have to explore having to plan around ferry You can get the bus to Como - takes 1h ( prepare for a while knuckle ride round the lanes and take a travel sickness tab ) but apart from that - just amazing

We absolutely loved our stay here.

We absolutely loved our stay here. The accommodation is located right in front of the lake, and the room we stayed in had a breathtaking view. It is possible to walk to the restaurant area, which is about a 20-minute stroll and very enjoyable thanks to the beautiful scenery along the way. The room was extremely comfortable, spotlessly clean, and decorated in a very cozy and welcoming style. The staff were incredible — they kindly picked us up from the bus stop when we arrived and even drove us back to the town centre at the end of our stay. The breakfast was excellent, with plenty of variety and something for everyone. We highly recommend this place and would definitely stay here again when we return to the lake.

One day was definitely not enough!

One day was definitely not enough! I would have loved to spend more time in Menaggio and explore the surrounding areas as well. Staying overnight here was both comfortable and very affordable, making it a perfect base for discovering Lake Como. I hope to return and stay longer next time.

Suites Menaggio is in a great location for exploring the beautiful Lake Como area. Our host, Alberto, was very welcoming and responsive to our needs. We loved watching from our window the daily life of residents going about their business in the piazza, and listening to the very talented musicians and singers performing there. The town has a lovely sense of community about it. I’m glad we chose Menaggio for our stay in Lake Como.

Fantastic location midway between ferry and town square with beautiful views across Lake Como. Spotlessly clean and well looked after. Small but lovely pool area right on edge of lake. Great air conditioning in rooms and good to have a mini fridge as well as kettle. Treat yourself to a room with a balcony and lake view.

Great location for a base to explore lake Como for a few days, 5 min walk to the ferry port and of all the staff were very helpful and kind. Lots of bakeries nearby and not to forget the amazing view of the lake!! Menaggio also is the best location an super peaceful and quiet compared to the other popular villages.

Friendly and helpful staff, nice view to lake como, relatively easy to find parking space (considering in lake como). The location was nice, Menaggio center was in walking distance. It was possible to purchase small breakfast from the hotel.
