Beautiful hotel with amazing views of Mondello Bay beach. The room was very spacious and clean. All the staff were also very kind! Especially the restaurant waiters. I wish I got all their names, but they were very attentive and remembered our previous day orders and can predict what we would anted to eat and drink. Felt very personal.

The host was fantastic. Before we arrived he gave a detailed list to assist us with our stay, including advising of the nearest grocery store, items of interest in Mondello and Palmero. His recommendations for Restaurants were spot on, the best food we had were in these places. Nothing was too much trouble for the host. The apartment a close walk to the beach and close to the wonderful restaurants that were recommended.

Where to begin, this place is just fabulous. The owner, Antonio, is a perfect host, he also provides snacks and basic utilities for the kitchen, including coffee pods for the espresso machine and we also found water and ice tea in the fridge. There is also a lovely terrace with a barbecue and all you need to grill. There’s AC in the apartment and also a washing machine. I will definitely be back and I highly recommend it!

The beaches and the sea are absolutely beautiful.

The beaches and the sea are absolutely beautiful. I was truly impressed by the crystal-clear water and the stunning coastline. However, the town itself is very dirty. There are piles of garbage and litter almost everywhere, which was quite disappointing. There are also very few restaurants near the beach and almost no shops. I fell in love with the sea, but I was a little saddened by how poorly maintained Mondello is.

Maybe we went during some Italian school holiday? But it was very crowded with young kids and teens. It was giving "Italian Myrtle Beach." It didn't feel particularly high class or tasteful. The beach itself is very pretty. It was just a little rowdy and crowded feeling. Our apartment was also just one block off the beach and noisy.

The apartment "Home Sweet Home Sea" Via Giovanni D'Austria, Mondello felt like being inside a cave: very low ceilings, dark, damp, and unpleasant. The tiny substitute kitchen was unhygienic and not suitable for preparing meals. All of our clothes stayed damp even inside our suitcases after coming home. The bathroom was narrow, old, poorly ventilated, and uncomfortable. Our rest was disturbed by loud cleaning noise above us at 8:00 AM, people moving overhead, and a washing machine running outside our window. The closest beach was rocky and dangerous to swim, while the sandy beach was 2 km away with a difficult uphill return. The listing was misleading because the exact room photos were not clearly shown before payment. This room was only suitable for one person, not two adults, and the price was far too high for such a below-basic standard.

We were there at the end of September so whilst most things...

We were there at the end of September so whilst most things were open, it wasn't too crowded. The weather was brilliant: 25 degrees during the day and although we had some rain, it wasn't cold and blue skies quickly followed. There are plenty of restaurants in Mondello and the beach is sandy and clean. We were a short bus ride (only a pound) from Palermo and within easy distance of other villages and attractions.

Good temp in September and not too busy with tourists. Plenty of restaurants and bars. Great little green grocer/deli on the square where you could buy fab food, have a sandwich made or enjoy a wine and snack!

A roomy and well-equipped villa with all the facilities you need, including WiFi, a kitchen, washing machine, air-con, There were also parasols and folding chairs, and beach towels. The beach was only 10 mins stroll away and this is where we spent most of our time due to semi-aquatic grandchildren!. Riccardo, who looks after the villa, was a really helpful and attentive host. Mondello has plenty of restaurants within easy walking distance - the ones we liked were Raphael, Nico, Le Rocce and Sariddu. The owner of Sariddu claimed to be a Liverpool supporter (like one of our number), but I suspect this depended on who he was talking to! Things to see - the Duomo in Monreale. You can park just south of it, and it is jaw-droppingly amazing. Asis the Chiesa del Gesu in Palermo. We went to the BioPark Sicilia as well - great for children and most adults.

We absolutely loved Josh’s house. It was a comfortable and safe oasis in Mondello. We had spent 3.5 weeks traveling around Sicily and was our first ground floor accommodation and we really enjoyed spending time in the gorgeous space outside. Comfortable beds, pillows and couches, it had everything we needed. Josh also helped organise a transfer to the airport and was very helpful with supplying a high chair, cot and even still + sparkling water.

We liked the location which was close to the beach, a good supermarket, restaurants and the bus stop to Palermo. The two friendly members of staff on duty during our stay - Daniele and Stefano - took care of everything we needed including serving us a delicious breakfast each morning. They also gave us plenty of good info about local attractions. We also loved the rooftop terrace which has 180 degree views over Mondello and the sea.

We loved our stay at La casa di chico. Mondello is a beautiful beach town with a relaxed atmosphere with great bus links to the city of Palermo. Cristina was the perfect host and really helped us with recommendations. The property itself had everything we needed as a family of 3, we especially loved the terrace area. Overall we had a great time and would deffo recommend.

The host was extremely kind and helpful, always available to answer questions about Mondello or Sicily in general, and he gave us the best tips and recommendations. The location is also excellent, just a short walk to the beach, only 5 minutes to the bus stop, and with supermarkets and restaurants nearby.
