Me and my husband chose this hotel during the winter season for 2 nights end of January,so we could ski.The hotel is Ski In,Ski Out.It exceeded our expectation.The road to the hotel was safe and clean.The rooms are clean and they are cleaned every day.The staff is very polite.The food is awesome breakfast and dinner too,with local foods served.The dinner has tasty and elegant food.The hotel and the rooms are warm.You can enjoy the sauna outside.What i liked most about this hotel is that is quiet and it gives you a sense of peace in the mountains.I think i will be back,hopefully soon.

Very cozy and the owners made my daughter and I feel very at home. We had a beautiful view from our room with the ski lifts and the food was outstanding. Max was super personable and made our experience unforgettable.

San Vigillio is small place, in a long rather narrow valley in south Tirol. It is very much tourism oriented, with several hotels, restaurants and shops. We went in summer and it was hot during the day, and refreshing during the night, with light refreshing breeze during hottest parts of the day. (We were during the heat wave in Europe.) If you like to walk, hike or climb, this is a good place to be.

Had the best stay at hotel

Had the best stay at hotel Mareo while doing hikes in east Dolomites- not far from the best places to see and an absolutely perfect place to come home to. Unbelievable. Hotel aesthetics were top notch and town is v cute. Pool is incredible and staff is super friendly. Couldn’t recommend more , 10/10.

The village radiates a quiet charm, with friendly locals who embody the warmth of traditional mountain culture. Despite its intimate size, San Vigilio provides all essential services including a well-stocked supermarket, ensuring convenience without sacrificing its tranquil character. What makes San Vigilio truly special is its versatility for outdoor enthusiasts. The village serves as an excellent base for alpine skiing with direct access to the renowned Kronplatz ski area, while also offering exceptional cross-country skiing trails that wind through pristine winter landscapes. When the snow melts, the surrounding terrain transforms into a paradise for hikers and cyclists, with trails suitable for all ability levels. We quite liked the village - it felt nicer than most other...

We quite liked the village - it felt nicer than most other villages in the surrounding area. This is because it is a bit bigger than most and has more traditional town layout (instead of being village lined out next to the main street). Architecture is mostly traditional, which gives it the right alpine village vibe. There is a good choice for places to eat and a decent SPAR store. Ski lift is nearby. It seems that every other house is a hotel or a guest house, so finding the right accommodation should be fairly easy.

Beautiful South Tyrol resort offering everything you need...

Beautiful South Tyrol resort offering everything you need for any mountain activities you can imagine or just pure relaxation. With mix of old buildings and modern ski infrastructure this place offers true alpine ambient. On top of surroundings I really enjoyed local cuisine that is simple but based on natural local ingredients exceptionally good in every restaurant we had a chance to visit. My favorites were "Chi Cianeis" for lunch and "Plazores" for dinner.

St. Vigil itself is nothing too special: It's a quaint...

St. Vigil itself is nothing too special: It's a quaint little village, with one or two semi-decent restaurants. You will eat far better in Brixen. But it's the breathtaking environment that makes up for it!

Hotel Chalet Corso is a lovely hotel with very warm and friendly staff. We booked 3 rooms for our group of 9 for the last night on a Dolomites ski safari. It was very comfortable for our stay. The spa / sauna area is really lovely at this hotel with a separate building looking out at the snow. Everyone loved it. Could be improved with towels available out there. The hotel has an excellent breakfast. We would have like to have had more time to enjoy.
