The kitchen was one of the best-equipped kitchen I ever stayed in. It was small, indeed, but it has all the implements one could wish for and even some spices. Though not equipped with AC, there were portable fans available on both levels and the windows all had insect meshes so one could leave them open for some air circulation. The place was clean, including the the bathroom. The beds were a bit on the firm side. There's a seating area under the trees across the gravel driveway; there's also a table on the top balcony and the evenings are pleasant. The house is one of a group of 3 connected houses and it's the one in the middle; the group is the left-most one towards the street. The neighbors on either side are nice and quiet. Parking is in front, though the main access door is in the back (see photo -- the house is the one with the motorcycle in front). The town's main area and promenade is but 5-10 minutes walk away, and there's a mini Carefour some 15-minute-walk up the hill.

Great bedroom, awesome beds, balcony overlooking the lake, with a fantastic view, super clean with a great bathroom, nicely decorated if a bit modern, free parking, but the best feature of the hotel was the fantastic breakfast with fresh, well-presented, copious foods for all tastes, in a beautiful dining room and another fantastic view of the lago Maggiore.

A lovely hotel. All staff were very friendly and helpful. There were wonderful views from our balcony overlooking Lago di Maggiore and the high mountains beyond. The food in the restaurant was first class as it was in the the Bistrot Imbarcado, which the hotel also runs, and where the seating is alongside the lake. A good ferry service from Porto Valtravaglia makes it easy to visit Stresa, the Borromeo Islands and market day in Luino. We will certainly be back!

1. We went there a little late and when informed the hotel, we were well instructed to do the check-in at the restaurant nearby. It was not a problem at all. 2. A very good breakfast was served at the same restaurant- 3. Peaceful and nice area just opposite the Porto Valtravaglia, Lago Maggiore 4. Very good views of Lago Maggiore from the balconies of the rooms.

The owner greeted us on arrival and even offered us a lift as we came by train, we really appreciated it. The flat was very well equiped, especially the kitchen. Very family friendly, near villages and Porto Valtravaglia. Tiziano was very helpful and kind and gave us lots of tips of where to go and what to do etc. The region is beautiful also for hiking.
