I cannot fully express how lovely this hotel was .It is a family run hotel in the center of Sulmona .The location was just perfect to walk leisurely to the shops ,cafe’s, churches and restaurants .Sulmona is one of the most peaceful areas that I have ever visited .The owners of the hotel , Mamma Rosanna ,Gianluca and Angela were absolutely lovely host who made our visit very memorable and special with their wonderful hospitality.The hotel was exceptionally clean ,as was my bedroom .My bedroom was spacious ,decorated nicely and extremely comfortable. I would more than highly recommend the Hotel Rojan to all who come to visit Sulmona .You will not be disappointed and I guarantee that you too will have a wonderful experience ,like I did.

Small town feeling, unpretentious, and sophisticated all at the same time. Excellent restaurants (Clemente for old-school-ish more complex food, and La Cantina di Biffi for lively, creative, superb fare and great wines), and good ones too. Beautiful scenery, interesting history dating back to the Romans.

Sulmona is a beautiful small town surrounded by mountains.

Sulmona is a beautiful small town surrounded by mountains. We ate at 4 different restaurants in 3 days, and every meal was fantastic. I've been to Italy many times in recent years, but I haven't eaten such consistently delicious food in decades. I want to return to Abruzzo and experience more of the region, but I suspect that Sulmona is a very special place within Abruzzo. Next time I will come via car so I can explore nearby towns and parks and hiking opportunities.

Sulmona ws a really nice, off the beaten path town to visit...

Sulmona ws a really nice, off the beaten path town to visit in Italy. It is the "home" of confetti, candied covered almonds, etc. We were able to tour museum factory where they have made these since the early 1700s. The old town itself is worth touring with ancient churches, many different street vendors, the farmer's market, etc. The town has some wonderful restaurants with authentic local cuisine.

Like most towns in Italy, Sulmona has it's own interesting character and history. And, it support visits to some remarkable places in the area like Pacentro, Popoli, or Casano which have their historic feel right there be seen..

Their always seems an event in Sulmona which makes the visit extra special, the city has numerous restaurants and bars. In addition it has a traditional market on a Saturday with enticing fruit and vegetables. It is in an extremely photogenic part of the country.

Sulmona is really nice, bustling and beautiful, and close to scenic towns like Barrea, Scanno, Pacentro, and Pescocostanzo. We will use it as home base next time we visit this beautiful area. The scenery is spectacular, and so is the food.

We had a wonderful stay! The place was spotless, comfortable, and perfectly located for exploring the beautiful town. What truly made our experience unforgettable was the amazing host, Antonio. He was incredibly kind, welcoming, and always ready to help with recommendations and anything we needed. His hospitality made us feel at home from the very first moment. We highly recommend Giravolta to anyone visiting Sulmona and we would definitely love to come back!

Fantastic apartment with everything we needed for our stay. Great location in the heart of the old town. Beautifully and thoughtfully decorated. Feels authentic and modern at the same time. Sulmona is a lovely lively place too with lots of great restaurants and bars.
