Our host went out of his way to make our stay memorable. It is a beautiful area and an exceptional renovation. Breakfast was homemade baked goods with fresh fruit and the two dinners we had there were great. They were served on a terrace at sunset, very romantic.

Such an unusual location with beautiful views. Although the apartment is small and on the dark side it contains all amenities for a comfortable stay and stays cool even though the temperature outside approaches 30. Parking super easy. Excellent communication with host.

Elena’s property was stellar! If I could give her 100 stars, I would! Elena was a wonderful host; she met us, told us where to park and took us to our apartment. Our room had two windows; one overlooked the quaint street, and the other a beautiful view of the mountains. The bed was very comfortable, and the apartment itself was a perfect size for my husband and me. Each morning, we went down one flight of stairs to the kitchen where Antonella was waiting to pamper us with coffee, cappuccino, cornetto, juice, and granola. Besides the Bed & Breakfast, Elena has a restaurant called Rupp Diun. All I can say is W.O.W! We told Elena our food preferences, (I am a vegetarian, for example), and she totally customized the meal that she prepared. Elena has a gift for making you feel like family. We ate at Rupp Diun multiple times because when the food is that good, why go anywhere else! It was fun to meet Elena's family and friends throughout our stay! Full disclosure: my grandmother was born in Colobraro in 1897, and I am on a mission to find out anything I can about my Italian roots. I probably would not have visited Colobraro if not for my grandmother, but what a shame that would have been. Elena and her friend Maria were extremely helpful in guiding me with my search. This beautiful, welcoming hill-top town with the most charming people should be on the bucket list of those that are looking to immerse themselves in Italian culture and history. I hope I am lucky enough to be able to make my way back to this charming city that is filled with townspeople that welcome you with enthusiasm and pride that leaves you with a longing to return. Casa del Sole is a modern, elegant, spacious and comfortable apartment that has everything and more to offer. The host Francesco was very friendly and helpful in personally orienting us to the place. There is a sun drenched south facing large terrace and a separate balcony. The apartment is centrally located in the charming and tranquil town of Montalbano Jonico, which is set in a rich agricultural area with olive groves, citrus orchards and vineyards. We had a wonderful stay and enjoyed both the apartment and the town. This listing is a great value and we particularly recommend it to all!

Rosalia was an amazing host. She showed us all the amenities that were available when we arrived. Our room was spacious and clean and the bed was very comfortable. The bathroom had fresh towels, shower gel and a hairdryer. Rosalia had our table set for us in the morning for breakfast and it was delicious. They also had bottled water in the fridge and we had access to it in the evening which was really nice. The view from the terrace was amazing. Five Stars!!!
